Adele is still in hospital with the babies.
So we have been rushed off our feet visiting.
The second baby Jasmine, heart stopped before she was born, her cord had been trapped so as soon as she was born she was rushed to intensive care and both babies were put on antibiotics starting from birth. Because of the length of time from the waters going to the time of delivery, this can cause infection apparently. Jasmine came down 12 hours after birth so both babies were with Adele.
The first one Naomi, was taken to intensive care on Thursday morning, the tube that is attached to her hand to take the antibiotics came out. She had to go to intensive care to have it put back in, but the staff were worried about her weight and the jaundice so they kept her up there. In the meantime she developed a temperature so they did a lumber puncture on her. They said she has meningitis.
We were all worried over the weekend although her temperature came down. They tried to do the lumber puncture on Jasmine too but couldn't get any fluids.
Yesterday when the cultures came back there was nothing abnormal with them. So it may not have been meningitis but she is still on a three-week course of antibiotics, starting from birth.
They took Jasmine's antibiotic device of her hand on Saturday because her temperature was normal. So we are hoping and praying that it isn't meningitis and they may be allowed home. Different doctors are telling them different things at the moment, so they need to see a consultant to find out if it really is meningitis. I am wondering if they had given her a Caesarean, this all may have been avoided.I feel so sick with worry.

Jane,
I was so wrapped up in my own little baby world I missed your post,
I do hope all is OK for your daughters. breast cancer runs in our family too, my mum had it and Adele' mother in law and Adele's auntie Bev too.
so I can sympathise with what your daughters are going through. We all need to keep a check on our selves.
my thoughts are with you and your girls.

Thanks for all your best wishes girls,
We bought grow suits, two pairs of trousers, two little tops, a dress, an all in one suit in the same pattern as the dress and two beautiful little coats. I could have bought the whole shop they are so sweet!
We went to the hospital, Jasmine was out of intensive care and we all were able to have a cuddle! Naomi was under a heat lamp as she was cold, but as soon as Adele’s dinner was brought up, Naomi started screaming, so I lifted her out and cuddled her. When she was asleep I popped her back in she is tiny! Then the nurse took her temp and said she could come out so we all got to cuddle her too!
They are both beautiful and so tiny compared to Adele who was 7lb 1oz and my younger two girls who were 10lb and 9lb (they were like 3 month olds when they were born) I cannot wait to see them again!
I don't thing they will be allowed out of hospital until the weekend as they are on antibiotics as a precaution because of the time of the waters going until she gave birth being 43.5 hours.
The girls were both over the moon, my pictures are a bit blurred as I didn’t want to use the flash but I will take some more later.
Hugs Kerren.

Adele my eldest daughter went to hospital on Friday evening/Saturday morning at 3:49 am when her waters broke.
James our son in law keeps us posted but we haven’t heard anything since lunch time today, the contractions were every five minutes, he said they wouldn’t take any action at the hospital until she had been in 36 hours.
Well that was at 3 this afternoon. Yesterday he was sent home at 10.pm he let us know what was happening.
Tonight we haven't heard from him it is now 10: 48pm we hope Adele is ok and the babies are being born now, as she must be very tired now after all this time.
I just needed to have something to occupy my mind as I worry about every thing.
Thanks girls love Kerren
