She is lovely. I love her daffodil and primrose colour!
One very good looking bruin! Love him!
Many thanks, Debora!
They are both absolute sweeties!
Thank you Kim, Francy and Peter! I sat him next to my old Bing bear and tried to replicate where his mohair was thinning or bald. I also looked at where Bing's backing fabric was darker/stained in an attempt to age him sympathetically. So glad you like him

Peter is my homage to the early German teddies that first kindled my interest in bears. I have carefully aged him to look like he has lived a life. His pearl cotton embroidered nose has been sandpapered and treated to look aged and slightly threadbare. He has been given some smallish bald patches in areas that old bears suffer hair loss, including his tummy, top of his head and the front of his arms. His backing cloth has been lightly aged in places. All in all, the effect is one of a bear who has seen some life.
Peter is between 15 and 16 inches tall. He has five joints, and is stuffed with polyfill and a sealed calico bag of stainless steel balls, which make him a good weight. His eyes are black glass and his pawpads are pure, ivory wook felt. His fur is German mohair. He wears a golden organza ribbon around his neck. Peter is one of a kind.
He is available for adoption. Please go to my blog for further information.

She is really lovely, Becky!
We had a great day at Hugglets. The halls were packed with eager collectors and there were thousands of fabulous bears there looking for new homes. I was lucky enough to get a last minute offer of a table. Although very busy, I managed to have a look around the show later in the afternoon, and to say hi to a few friends...and to meet a few artists I hadn't met before. I love the international feel of the show with artists from right across the globe. I was opposite a lovely Japanese artist called Mika Fujita. She had the most wonderful realistic bears with her. Hugglets is such an exciting show. I can't wait for the next show in September!

Such a cutie!
Adorable!
I rarely make a classic teddy, but I cannot resist from time to time. The result is Daisy. I have given her drumstick legs, single piece arms and large hump in homage to the old German and English teddies that started my love affair with bears! She is wearing a lovely, ivory silk dress.
You must be thrilled with him. He has a really cheeky face. Well done!
You have really captured the eyes of a real bear. Extraordinary work!
Aw, thank you. Choccy has gone to live with a lovely lady in Paris.
Thanks so much Peter and Ali. I had a lovely day and the bears above all found homes except for little Cherry.
