Hi i would like to dye a piece of gold mohair with tea to town the colour down for an older style bear. Does anyone have any tips like how many tea bags and for how long? I am only trying to dye a very small piece
Thanks Andrea xx
Thanks for your comments i was really suprised when she named him from just his head, i've no idea where she got the name from but it does seem to suit him.

He's a little cutie i love the colour! I would also like to try a panda and would be very interested to know how to do the eye patches. Are Jim's sewn into the head as pieces before the whole head is stitched or sewn on top of the fur after? If that makes sense

They are really cute! I don't know how you manage to make them so small! Bear making is completely addictive in any size tho

She is really sweet. She looks like she is about to yawn - adorable!
This is Tinker as named by my 3 year old daughter when i had just finished his head. He is made from the most beautiful hand dyed sparse mohair and i have had a go with my new copic marker. he is my first attempt at an older style of bear
This is my new little green bear, he doesn't have a name yet as i can't find one to suit him. He is in a gorgeous tipped faux fur with green underneath. i hope you all like him

This is my new mohair bear, a different style for me, i'm not too sure about it but he's quite cute. He's in hand dyed purple mohair and looks rather like he spilt ribena on himself!
This is Pumpkin my first fairy bear. She is made of luxury faux fur and wobble jointed for a slouchy feel. Her nose and feet are needlefelted. I hope you like her i had a lot of fun making her.

Thanks for all your great advice. I will try and give him a gentle clean to start with and see how i get on from there. Here is a picture of him he does look a bit sad and dishevelled but i couldn't just leave him in a box at the car boot sale!
Hi have just bought a sad looking 1960's deans bear at the car boot sale for 20p! He is jointed but his fur is very flattened and clumped to his body. Does anyone have any advice for trying to clean him up a bit. He is made of synthetic fur rather than mohair.
