Hi all,
I finally have a new mini bear available, his name is "Widget" and is the first in a new series of 2 inch bears in my "tubby teddy" design! Widget is now available for adoption on my website :)
UPDATE****** Widget is now listed on Ebay with a lower adoption price! To visit Widget now, please visit this link:
He's wonderful! I'm not surprised he was adopted straight away.
OMG! They are all so gorgeous! I especially love the little Westie, fantastic job
They are all so gorgeous, I love Bobby the best
That's great Paula! I'm sure you will have a lot of fun and will learn heaps. I'm a member of Cloth Doll Artistry as well, it's a really active and friendly group.
Tami, here's the link to the workshop: http://clothclaydolls.ning.com/ I hope you can join too!
Thanks so much everyone for your comments I'm so glad I've inspired you to join up Paula, can't wait to see how your doll turns out
Shelli and Peggy, you really should give it a go too - it's a lot of fun. My doll turned out different to what I envisaged, but it was my first time sculpting with paperclay. I've learnt so much through the workshop I can't wait to get started on another dolly.
just another update. I've had several emails from the seller now, we've been emailing back and forth. Basically she is pleading ignorance and says the patterns she sells are always originals. I tried to explain to her that my pattern is only available in PDF format and isn't even available in printed form and I expressly say that the pattern is not be copied or resold. I think she knows full well what she's doing....I hope she gets banned soon.
Hi everyone,
I have just completed an online cloth & clay dollmaking workshop through Gritty Arts Studio, I thought I would show off my efforts:
Thanks Tina for bringing my attention to it!! I've emailed the seller and will be reporting her to ebay too, I can't believe she isn't banned yet!
130 people dead so far as more bodies are uncovered. This is just so devastating for us all here. Where I live we had thick smoke on Saturday night and last night the sky was blood red - so scary. Luckily the fires weren't so close to me and I personally don't know anyone who has been hurt, but the fires are still raging. I have family in Bendigo and Warburton who could still be in danger. Pray for all of us down here, it's the worst disaster I have known ....
I love him! He looks very cuddly. I've had an SLR camera for about 2 years now and still don't know how to use it properly!! I really have tried to learn and have read a lot about it, bought a better lens etc...but I still tend to shoot most things in auto mode
Fantastic as always Jane!! really enjoyed the pics, gave me a good laugh
I've seen something about this on the tv recently, people treating their dolls like real babies, changing their nappies, singing to them and stroking their hair etc....a lot of the women in the program were unable to have children, or had lost a child, but I still think it can't be healthy emotionally. I'm all for collecting dolls, but.....
Hi Leanne,
Nice to have someone from Wagga here I go to Wagga quite a bit as my husband's family is there.
I have a book called "The Encyclopedia of Teddy Bear Making Techniques" by Alicia Merrett & Ann Stephens. It's a great reference book and has heaps of clear photos showing you how to do absolutely everything. I'd recommend it.
Stunning outfit! Well done!!  I've been to Whitby once, absolutely loved it there
Hi all,
Here are the latest swap bears I have made. The peach coloured one is off to the US, and the pink one is off to the UK (to Andrea of AM Bears!)
hi Tami, another sassy fabric fan here - you really can't go past them!
thank you everyone!
Thank you so much Tracy and Christine I'm glad you like them, they were a lot of fun to make and a nice change from teddy bears.
Oh dear Sarah, that is a big let down and very annoying. I've only ever been burnt on ebay once, and I must say I haven't listed on there since.........
Hi all,
Hope it's ok to show off some of my latest attempts at cloth dollmaking! I'm calling these "petite poupees", they stand at 6 inches tall. They are all one-of-a-kind with hand drawn faces and clothes with tibetan lambswool hair.
unbelievable work, very well done
I have only bought one artist bear myself and I don't keep any of bears I make either....I do admire many artists creations and if I had a lot of money I'm sure I'd have a huge collection!
Your garden looks beautiful Denise, I wish I had a green thumb!
