Janet, your little sweetie is deliciously cute!
Alison, I look forward to meeting Jacob and his den pals at the San Jose convention. I just shipped off my bears UPS--I will be tracking them until they arrive safely! Here's to a great convention and show.
  Ohhhh!!!!! He looks real!!!! Fine work as usual!!!!
Especially on the muzzle, I like the control of hand sewing. I have hand sewn bears up to 12 inches but usually machine sew larger ones. However, on curved parts like the head, hand sewing with a tight backstitch gives control.
I appreciate Teddy Talk too. There are not many shows in Southern California any more. I enjoy seeing the pictures of shows and of other people's bears and friends. Teddy Talk is the greatest!

Teddy bears chase away the shadows, watch over us, and make us smile. Whatever the economy, we need those qualities in our lives. Everyone should have their own Teddy Bear hug therapist.
I'm concerned about the economy and bear sales, too. In less than a month, I am scheduled to do my first bear show in about two years, Teddy's Garden Party in San Jose, California. Mostly I have made moderately priced huggable bears (jointed, of course), but I would like to at least recoup the expenses of my trip to San Jose. Whatever the economy, it is impossible to put a price on the unconditional love transmitted by those stuffed and jointed hug therapists, the Teddy Bears.

 Thank you all for the good wishes for me and my new job! I am looking forward to it too!
 I am starting my new job as an enumerator with the census bureau tomorrow! That's when I get my official government issued laptop computer and self study materials, and get sworn in. There will be classroom training next week, and then I will be ready to go out and count for the housing census. That should count for something, pun intended. The housing census lasts through September, so I will be kept busy for several months. After the housing census ends, I may be assigned to another specific type of census. Anyway, I am looking forward to the new job!
 What a sweet girly ellie! The fur is perfect!
Congratulations and best wishes, Gemma!
 He looks soooo huggable! That long fur must be soft! Beautiful huggable bear!
   A tasty piece of work, Kelly Dean! Four birds in the pie are worth two in the bush!
I have a featherweight too. I have never sewn with it but would like to start using it. Where do I start? I have, of course, used sewing machines before, like Singer and Janome. But with all the talk of the wonders of the featherweight, I would like to give it a try.
 Emma looks as though she is made from fine faux fur or even mohair! She looks so huggable! Lovely bear!
