Yes, Chris, let's see your new do.
Oh boy, more baby pictures soon. Go Kimberly!
I worry over names, too. I jot names as I think of them for use in the future. Some are really easy to name; it just suits them. Others I leave sitting on a table where I can look at them every day until I settle on a name I like.
I've used baby name books, names from novels I've read, etc. It may be awful to say, but being in the Palm Springs area, there are lots of old people who retire here and I've even gotten a few names from the obituaries. Like Sue Ann said, there are millions of places to find names.
I love him. He has such an appealing little smile.
Tristan is a beautiful, happy little boy. I love his little patched denims...so like a little boy to always wear out his knees. I didn't know your daughter had been through so much. She must be a very strong person like her mother.
Tristan has a great smile. My daughter didn't get her two bottom middle teeth til she was 11 months old. We thought she'd never get teeth, but I really loved it because she looked like a baby for that much longer. I loved her little toothless smile. Once her two teeth came in, the others followed rapidly.
Oh, yes, I forgot scissor sculpting! Thanks, Donna.
Beautiful, as usual. I love her face, well, really all of her. But I love all your faces. They are just so appealing.
What a great face. He's wonderful.
I'm planning on taking EBearz U classes in needlefelting and airbrushing so, of course, I'm interested in those.
Additionally,
Open mouths
Great eyelids with cording, both upper and lower lids, like Shelli's...but I need more visuals to really get it
Sculpting the face/eyes
Four-piece bodies...I know Paula has explained that before, but when drawing your own, is there a mathematical formula to get the roundness and have the pieces fit together perfectly.
Armature
Creating heads for various looks...I would love to be able to create the sweet little heads that Jenny does, but that's probably a trade secret...also how to create different nose shapes.
Actually, I believe I can always learn more or different methods for things, even if I know the technical know-how-to-do-it.
Oh, yeah...I wish you could teach imagination like Lisa's!
And I'll probably think of more as more people add their wish list.
Their little faces are just beautiful. The little gray/white kitty reminds me of a kitty Krista made a while back. I believe her inspiration was one of the little rescue kitties she was caring for. I can't find him right now. Krista...you know who I mean.
Have a wonderful day.
Boy, you've been busy. Liam II is a darling little sailor. I love his sailor suit.
Violet is a beautiful bunny. I love her to pieces.
Yes, Bobbi, you have a very nice needlefelting article. You have four pages with photos through each step of the process. Once you get your TBF, I'm sure you'll be very pleased with the article.
What an awful experience and so glad you're ok. Good that the other driver was found.
What beautiful little face and what a smart mama cat to bring her last two surviving to you for help. Mama certainly looks relaxed now...probably the first good rest she's had for a while.
Wow oh wow. This is magnificent. You must be so pleased now that you have it done. Sometimes trying to get in the mood to do something is harder than just getting started. You are so creative in everything you do I'm sure it just flowed once you started. The fur is gorgeour and those eyes are hypnotic. Everything is beautiful. Ah, I'd say I like it.
Good luck on the move and settling in. It's a lot of work and such a relief when it's over.
I agree with Chrissi about the Where the Wild Things Are. Beastie would be totally at home in that story. And, of course, I am always impressed with your imagination; you create so many different styles. And Beastie is about the cutest beastie I've ever seen.
Tami and Sue Ann, I can't imagine why anyone would ever sell either of your bears. Tami, you obviously put a lot of work and love into the "teddy" set. It would break my heart, as well. Sue Ann, it doesn't even look like the same bear. I would think that you should be able to bid. Isn't there something you all have been talking about that lets a bidder remain anonymous?
You know, many dog breeders always put into their contract that if you no longer want the dog, they will take it back. Of course, they don't pay you for it. But is it possible to put something in your ebay info when auctioning a bear that says if the bidder decides to sell the bear, you get first right of refusal??? Just wondering...because I know I'd be so sad to see that happen.
Thank you all for your input. I was thinking along the same lines as you all about the site I posted. I didn't open anything or look at any of their links. From everything people have said on TT, you all love PayPal and many of you use it exclusively. Just wanted to double check with my friends who I know will be honest with me about their experiences.
By the way...is is pronounced MARLISS or MARLEES? Just curious because I think its such a pretty name!
Cheryl
Thank you, Cheryl. It's pronounced more like MARLISS or MARLUS. My high school French teacher always called me MARLEES. However, over the years I've been called many things. I've even had a couple people ask me if I was sure my name wasn't Marilyn...like I wouldn't know my own name!
Thanks again everyone for your input on PayPal.
I was about to sign up (again) for PayPal since most of you use the service and most of you seem very happy with it. I had a PayPal account some years ago but only used it for the few auctions I won on ebay. And they can't find me anymore and I have to re-establish myself. Anyway, I searched PayPal and came up with pages of stuff...many including sites like the following:
Seeing so many sites discussing the "horror" stories about PayPal, I just want to check again with all of you for your opinions. Do you think these complaints are legit? or made up? or what? Do you think it happens with purchasers more than sellers?
I'd appreciate everyone's advice...again. Thanks.
Marlys
I love Ratty! He's so cute...looks like he really enjoys his snackies.
What precious little creatures! They are darling.
