Thanks Guys. Yes I could not believe Blake just walked off like that. Its not like him to do that. But I just thank god he is ok, and nothing nasty happened to him. Even sitting in the rain. The pageant was great. The kids didn't even care for the rain they just were excited to see what was coming next. Yes xmas tree has to come out now. WELL we don't have one. hehehe. I will have to start my search for my new tree. I can't believe its this time of the year already. Does anyone else have a festive parade like ours. I would love to see photos of other parades????

OMG what a morning. In there at 6am waited till it started 9:30. Unfortuntily we didn't get world record so they are going to do it again next year. It rained and it was freezing. Its suppose to be spring. And then i lost my son after it all. I was waiting for Annalise to get back and get change. And then my 5 yr disappeared. I was a mess. I searched every where. I went up to a driver of the floats and asked him, if he saw a red head boy. Thank god he was a police officer. He called the police. which were every where as this event gets 300,000 to it. They found him 10 mins later walking back to our car which was 1 km away. He wanted to go home. They brought him back to me and he look so terrifed. I hope he learnt his lesson. But he could have been taken or anything. I was a mess. It was a night mare from hell. Every single thing is going through your head of what could have happened to him and it gets worse every minute you can't find him. But all in all, we all enjoyed ourselves.
The pics are Annalise on the Aladdins Lamp Float, and the float itself and then just some of my favs. and of course SANTA. there is over 100 floats. So these are just a couple.

Up bright and early. we have to be in town at 6am for the Adelaide Christmas Pageant. My daughter Annalise is a Princess on the Aladdins Lamp Float.  Here is a link http://www.cupageant.com.au/. Its going to be huge. They are trying for a world record of the biggest longest Mexican wave. Very Exciting. So SANTA is coming to town. Better start saving some money to buy my kids presents. have not even thought of it. My mum works at the credit union that runs the show. And annalise is very excited as she has been hanging to get back into the pageant since she was 6 and was a fairy on the Nipper float.  This is a huge thing in Adelaide. The whole city comes out for it. I pray the rain stops and it will be a lovelly morning for all. I will add a pic tomorrow when I get home.

I had 35 people that show interest in a bear swap. for Feb. I have only received about half that number in forms. I know you have until the 10th to get them in. But we need more people. So come on, Anyone can join the swap.

BEAR AND CRITTER SWAP

Thanks to everyone that has been interested in a bear swap. The bear swap is going ahead. Please copy and paste form below and email it to me wazzabears@bigpond.com . No later than the 10th Nov. Once all forms are in I will email you, your swap partners name, address and email. You must make contact asap.

The swap will happen in sections: Hobbyist and Professional, and 6inch -under, 7 inch to 13 inch and 14inch – over. This will be drawn from a hat.
If we get enough people I can add another section on what type of bears you collect.
The DEADLINE for postage will be 28th Feb 2009. You must be able to post international and via Airmail 5- 10 day delivery. (Not snail mail that takes 2 months). You can insure your bear BUT you need to communicate with your partner about that and you both agree to do so. You pay for the postage to send your bear to your partner.
You must stay in regular communication with you partner and MUST SEND BEAR ON THE SAME DAY.
If you put down you make 14inch - over you must stick to that and not make a mini bear.
This bear must be made especially for your partner and not one that has been sitting around waiting to be sold.
When you fill in the form you are agreeing to stick by the rules I have put in place. By not doing so you will get a call from me and as I live the other side of the planet it will be in the middle of the night. Please don’t disappoint. It’s only fair. ENJOY!!! When bears start arriving, Please let me know and I will start a new topic on TT and we can show off our bears. THANKS EVERYONE.

What type, style of bear/critter do you collect?

I personal am less is more. I find with my own bears I think they are better with just a ribbon or nothing. Why would you want to cover up that lovelly fur. But on the other hand I do like theme bear but in a tablaux.

We get none. The shops try and promote it but its not a big thing here. My kids on the other hand, had a tantrum because they wanted to, but I told them the neighbors would have nothing for them as we don't do that in Aus. They cried, truly! And said they want to live elsewhere. LOL

I use size 12 straws which are like quilting needle but they all the same width from tip to tip. I also use invisible thread to sew . I use mastex thread to close seams.

OMG. I have tears in my eyes. How can people be so cruel. Bless you for taking her in and giving her a loving home. I admire people like you. She looks like your Ad logo. She is still young, so you can give all the love and wash those nasty memories away. If my partner would let me I would save every creature that came my way too. But he cant stand us having 2 dogs and 1 cats. But he has to live with it cos I can't live without these litlle lovable creatures.
There should be more people like you in this world.

I would really like to not exclude anyone on TT in regards to the bear swap. This includes needle felting and other mediums. I had a PM from a lovelly new member asking if she can join in But she makes 6' needle felted critters, Her work is amazing and her critters are sssoooooooooooooo cute. I told her I am sure it won't be a problem. So on your form when I send it out, I would like to know preference to style of bear and medium. So we can keep everyone happy with their swaps.

Well i going to now have my rant about ebay. Never a problem until now. I put my bear up in feature plus, and after 14 hours still no bear showing in search. I wanted to cancell it and start again. i spoke with ebay live to have fees refunded and cancell it. NO GO. They would not refund. I cancelled the auction and relisted it again but without feature plus. Its been 9 hours and still no bear in search. They did say it can take up to 24 hours. I told then I am paying for 5 days exposure not 4 days. Why is it that some bears show straight away and then some take for ever to show? I don't get it. This has been the worse its ever been. I really don't get it.

Its looking good. I will have a form up this week. I will PM the ones that showed interest so please send them back to me filled in. And we will get a move on. Its so exciting.
