I feel so much better now!! I too keep the broken eyes...I thought I was the only one!!!
My poor bear is destined to remain blind for a while now as they were hand painted and I have NO eyes left....so I have to wait until I can make a trip to get some!!! Oh well. I have retrieved her from the corner of the room and will work on her again soon.
Veronica and Ellen you are right it could have been much worse!!
Arghhhhhhh.....I am completely frustrated at the moment....I decided that I had to make a lovely synthetic bear out of some beautiful cream fur (not cheap) that I have here...you know I wanted one with those gorgeous puffy cheeks etc etc....Well I now have a new appreciation for all you artists who work with synthetics, I have fur everywhere...and I mean everywhere......and after hours and hours of careful scissor sculpting (after carefully lining and cutting out) to try and achieve something that resembled something more than a cream puff I finally came close to what I was after, set my eyes, lids and whites...moving along fine....ears a tad difficult but ok......THEN my beautiful bears eye fell off!!!! B&%$*^^ I haven"t had that happen in such a long time....the back of the glass eye broke!!!!!
My poor bears is now blind and banished to the corner of the room.....where she landed at the end of my temper tantrum!!!
Welcome back Julia!!! It is good to see you posting again!!
I hope you will forgive me for taking the easy way out, but I don't have time to comment on every bear here today and I still wanted you all to know how absolutely wonderful they all are...There are soooo many fantastic creations coming out of TT every week that it's mind boggling!!!!
Ilze I hope you are feeling better soon and that your doctors can help you...
This is so true and something we should all try to remember!!! Thanks for posting it!!
Ouch Sue Ann that sounds painful!!!
Now I do want to see photos of you with the banana peel taped over your eye!!! :photo: :photo:
Excellent thank you Sue Ann....I was wondering if that was what I needed but wasn't sure!!!
Thanks Dilu, that makes me feel a little better  . I must say I am completely paranoid about emails with links in them!!!
Oooh Well done Clare!!!!!

Oops false alarm ladies....sorry about that it turned out to be genuine after all!!! Oops    Now I feel stooopid!!!
Received an email from someone today supposedly asking me to join an ebay group....turns out it was a spoof!!! Thank goodness I didn't put my password in anywhere!!
Just thought I'd post this here to let everyone know it was out there (along with all the other spoofs!!!)
Your cats are beautiful ladies and in no way a copy of anyone else's work.....Hmmm does that mean because we all make bears that we are copying each other??
Well I'm still on the hunt for Fender washers...no one I ask seems to know what I am talking about....how do they differ from 'normal' washers?
Perhaps they are called something different over here and I am better off going to the hardware and looking through all their stff, although it would help if I knew what I was looking for!!!
Chris that is fantastic...congratulations both on your winnings and on your new grandchild!!!!
Great tips I am always running out of nuts and bolts....and especially discs, I must check out those 'fender washer' thingy's!!!
Patsy I hope you will find relief soon!!
I love him too ...and certainly don't find anything about him offensive!!!
Oh Millie....good luck to your son and his wife on their adoption procedures and to yourself on becoming a grandmother!!, I am also adopted and these children are so lucky to have found a loving family!!
Like Cheryl I am sure the paperwork etc will be forgotten in an instant once they have their children.
Thank you everyone for your lovely comments...I will pass them on to Delyse...She will be thrilled!!
Jennifer my two little girls are 10 and 5 although the 10 year old is really small for her age, and we are in autumn here at the moment. You wouldn"t know it though it was 30 degrees celsius an Saturday...
Thanks everyone....You're right Bobbie this was quite troubling for me and their age is still a bit of an issue, but they are a lovely couple and I think that the two of them are quite mature in their outlook on life so I am hoping that they have a better than average chance of making it work!!
The whole day was really lovely and considering that there was soooo much potential for conflict it was quite wonderful that everyone got along quite well!!
Well yesterday (saturday here!!) My oldest daughter from my first marriage got married and my two youngest daughters were flower girls.......Aside from a few hiccups the biggest one being when the lady with the headpiece didn't show up!!!!
the day was lovely ( quite and achievement considering Craig (ex hubby) had two ex wives and a current wife there!!!
)
Anyway I was very proud of Delyse, she didn't let the head piece worry her and just tucked a flower in her hair and went on with the day (although it made her over an hour late...poor Chris thought he'd been abandoned at the alter!!
)......here are some photos!! (Not very good ones I'm sorry)
I am thinking of you and sending lots of hugs and prayers!! I hope things sort out for you soon....
