Hmmm. I have a Featherweight. I will have to get it out and sew!
 Ohhh what a sweet little girl, with her bonnet and her shoes! Beautiful work!
 He's real! Marvelous work!
 He looks real and wise and full of life!
Ohhh, how cosy they look! What beautiful coloring in the kittens!
I started clockwise and then saw the figure move counterclockwise for a short time. However, most of the time, I saw the figure move clockwise. Does that mean I am predominantly right brained?
 Ohhh, what an adorable pup! Fine work! She looks real!
 He looks so real, especially his facial expression! Fine work!
What a sweet expression--and what a lovely soft fuzzy looking coat!
It seems like I've been making bears forever. I started with kits and with instruction at a local bear show that stopped in the mid 1990s. You might wish to start with a kit, for about a twelve inch bear, nothing larger, they take too long to stuff. You could gradually work down to eight or six inches high bears, even miniatures if you are so inclined. A kit has everything, including the instructions. Usually you need to get the stuffing, which you can find at a craft or quilting store. Happy bear making!
 What a sweet expression! She looks so soft and cuddly!
 Charikar looks real! Fine job!
 I will hold you and Scott in my prayers. God be with you.
Karen, I'm glad your old faithful sewing machine made it through the move as good as ever. The machinists who put together those machines were indeed craftsmen.
I can see that in mohair!
 What a sweet expression, and what lovely work on the nose!
 Stanley is a lovely traditional bear!
If I won the lottery, and had world enough and time, I would get on a plane for the South Pacific, and stop at Hawaii and Tahiti. I would go on to New Zealand and Australia and spend as much time as I wanted at each stop. Now to buy the winning lottery ticket!
 Ohhh, he looks so huggable!
Thank you for the information. I have also opted out
I agree that the dash on the pattern may be for an optional inset muzzle. If you do not make the bear with an inset muzzle, then the logical alternative would be to place the pattern piece on the fur with the nap going away from the nose.
Daphne, I see your point. Having deadlines in January would make it much easier to enter. There are so many holiday and related deadlines and pressures near the end of the year.
 Congratulations on being happily published!
 Congratulations on your new job! That is certainly a fine Christmas present!
