Great pictures, Sue Ann.
I love the Monarch Butterflies. When Allyn and I were first married, we lived in Pacific Grove in Northern California...it's contiguous to Monterey. Every October the Monarchs migrate from Alaska to Pacific Grove and it is a beautiful sight. They are all over the trees and plants and are just amazing. Lover's Point in PG is their main hangout when they arrive and there are millions of them. It's a huge tourist time as well as people come from all around the world to see the butterflies.

This site gives you a little about the migration.
It's interesting that these Monarchs migrating to Northern California live longer than a normal Monarch. Every generation of the Monarch only lives about 6 weeks, but the migration generation lives up to 9 or 10 months and fly over 2,000 miles. I suppose that they cannot live in the far Northern climates and this migration generation takes on this huge task of traveling so far so the species can survive...that's just my guess, I don't know that for a fact.
But I agree, Sue Ann, they are a beautiful sight and very interesting.

I'm so sorry you're going through this loss but I agree with you about not telling your daughter while she's away. I'm sure she'll understand that it was something that you could not prevent. Big hugs to you.
Very cute. I've missed these daily pictures over the last week. They're always the first think I look for when I log on.
I'm so glad you posted your picture. I love to see people so I can imagine their faces when I read their posts. It's almost like sitting and talking with the person. It's a cute picture in the sharks mouth, but also you are very pretty, too.
So glad to be back home. We got back Sunday afternoon exhausted. Driving from San Francisco to the desert is an 8-hour drive in a car, unless you ignore speed limits. We left Saturday late morning and stoped over night about 3 hours out.
You cannot believe how much stuff Ashley has. No wonder she was overwhelmed and needed her mama. She's always been able to get more stuff into her bedroom than any other kid I know. We used a 17-ft. U-Haul and it was stuffed to the top and all the way back to the door.
Anyway, we're home and now to unpack all that stuff. Thankfully, some will stay packed until she decides what she really wants to do.
So much has happened while I was away...it'll take me a long time to catch up on all the new. I did peak at the Showcase and Bears and Friends and all those bears are all so wonderful.
Hugs to everyone...
Very cute.
Wow, you look like you have your hands full, though they look like good dogs. Our Harley pup also likes shoes. He grabs a shoe every evening when he meets Allyn at the door. He was ruining my shoes so I had to find him an old pair that's just his and he's been through 3 old pairs of shoes. He doesn't chew them, but his sharp teeth punch holes in them. Even though Scotties are a small dog, they have a full size head and teeth to go with it.
Have fun pupsitting. Maybe this will encourage you to check out a rescue.
Beautiful dress. You'll be stunnin no matter what you decide about your hair.
Great blog. Love your bears and how do you get that perfectly shaped nose?!
Yes, please add me to your blog list.
Your blog looks great. It's hard not to get excited about it once you start.
More pictures, more pictures, more pictures...they're darling.
Samantha, they are way beyond wonderful. They are the sweetest little couple. Your brother and his bride will be so pleased. The top picture would make a wonderful wedding card!
Love, love, love them.
Great, great pictures.
Aaww...hope is mom is nearby.
Very cute site, Gabby. Thanks for sharing.
Welcome home, Bubba. I posted on the other thread, but let me say it again...WooHoo, Bubba's home.

WooHoo! Bubba's back! Great news. Boy, I bet he's relieved to be home. He'll demand first class the next time he flies.

Adorable. I love him.
I'm so glad Kellisa's doing better. She's a very pretty girl and I know you are beyond proud. She must be a very special person for the hospital to recognize her in this way.
Congratulations on the health news and the billboard.
He's wonderful. Did you make his hat?
Me, too, Jodi. I've been wanting to take Judi's needlefelting class and airbrush class but the time has never been convenient for me. I notice that both are offered again in July, which would work for me, barring any unforeseen complications.
And, Judi...I was searching the Library a few days ago and came across some of your posts on the subject. I have to say, that denim jacket with the airbrushed tiger was absolutely amazing. His eyes were so intense. I swear he looked real.
And, I cannot believe anyone would ask you if you'd used an iron-on! You do beautiful work.
I often get these type emails and I always delete. I seem to get several every week. They are annoying not to mention scams.
Aaawwwww...safe and cozy.
Don't you just love puppies!

Judi, those who have blogs have a link under their avatar just like there is for a website or ebay, PM or email. Really, if I can manage, with a lot of help from Lisa, you will create a wonderful blog.
On, Lisa, I'm so sorry your Bubba has been lost, but what a great background story of how he became so important to you and a world traveler at that. I can certainly understand your feeling of loss and sadness. I hope he's found soon and returned to you. And when he's returned, maybe your husband could take him in a carry-on bag so Bubba can continue to travel the world in safety.
