Teddy Talk: Creating, Collecting, Connecting

Such a lovely bear    and a fabulous idea, and so nice to know that this little bear is to be named after her grandmother Lily. 

They are lovely    I especially like the little boy bear, love the way his ears pop through his hat   Your clothes are excellent, very well dressed bears.

Frenchie is amazing, love her  The fabulous details you've put in ....and her eyes are stunning.

So tiny and so cute    love him, I don't think he'll be in your etsy store for long!

It looks amazing I would love one  I can see why you can't put it down. I have to ration myself to reading a little bit in the morning and perhaps a little in the evening otherwise I'd get nothing done! Hope you get your Godson's bear made.

I was asked just before Christmas to make a Michael Jackson Bear for a lady who was a big fan. I completed him yesterday and she is delighted with him and he's off to his new home tommorrow.

Thought I would start the New Year by having a go at a Blog and also trying Twitter. I have also joined Bear Pile to increase my visibility. Any hints on any of the above would be VERY gratefully received. I know so many of you are so accomplished at these.

The image is drawn then painted onto my pre-treated artists canvas which is then cut and sewn into the bears belly. I find it easier to paint the panel before I attach it to the bear as it is easier to paint 'in the flat' as it were!  .The bear pattern is then altered to accomodate the painted belly. Fidly but fun!

Please have a look at Midnight a very Purple bear from the 'Bear Belly' series from Bears of Bath. He is approx. 22 cm high and made from a very Purple synthetic fur. He has a hand painted Cherub on his 'Bear Belly' and is Number 6 in the series.

Gorgeous....brightens up a cold, snowy day.

Cinnamon is soooo cute, he's got tons of character and the fur is just fabulous.

So sweet and so tiny, fab mohair gives him a real character

Love the new bears Becky, fabulous mohair, she looks very soft and fluffy. Did you make the necklace as well, the colours work really well. Hope she finds a new home very soon.
