This is Rose, I made her last night after getting some "fabric leftovers" from my grandma. I really liked the pink fabric so I had to do a grrrrlie bear out of it!
Rose is an orphan bear and made of viscose.
Grattis Sabine! I'm so happy for you! No wonder your bear was on the cover, she's a drrrrling!
Hej! Nice to see a bear artist from Scandinavia on Teddy Talk! You made a great first job on this teddybear and you will learn sooo much each time you're making one!
Daphne, I'm sad to hear that life's not treating you kind at the moment! Just like you, I have had a rough time too and my "painkiller" (besides chocolate...) has been taking one day at a time. Try to do something that makes you happy each day! It can be eating food that you like, renting a movie, or just anything! And every morning when you wake up, try to come up with just ONE thing that can make (or WOULD make) you smile.
Hope you will feel better sooon. Here's a cake for you: :cake:
Beautiful set of twins Judi!!
Many thanks to you guys who has taken your time to look at my site. You are soooo sweet!
Sophie, I would like to have my shop in english too, but I don't know if it's possible. But I will surely have a english site with teddybears to adopt!
Thank you all!
Tina, I have not yet finished my link page... and you will still be there!
I just want to tell you that I have finally opened my little Swedish bear business! I have been working maaaany weeks with the webshop design and I think I have to call it finished now. I would be vary happy to get comments about the design, allthough I have only got the shop in Swedish..... (
http://www.teddybears.se
I have no teddybears for sale at the moment cause I have to save them for the show first.
Now the hard work beginns..... trying to get Sweden to make teddybears!!!
Oh, I just love looking at show pictures! I think I could do that all day long.... maybe it's because I never have had the chance to be on a snow myself.
She REALLY looks like the original! What a pretty girl!
Our dog (well, he was actually living with my parents) Rasmus went to heaven last week and the same day I made this bear. Ofcourse I had to name him Rasmus!
This is a 36 cm tall bear made of viscose and due to our dog I have shead some tears while making this bear... so he's made with love (allthough he looks like a mess...)!
Wanna se the picture!!!
Oh lovely character! I adore those toes!!
Yes, I know that there are hundreds of ballerina bears out there but Molly just HAD to have a ballerina skirt!
She actually told me that she would run away from home if I did'nt make her one.... (yes, my bears can talk...
)
Anyway, Molly is made of very short (but soft!) viscose and she has bent/bended (oh my english is sooo bad!! ) legs she rather sits than stands.
You hubby is one heck of a bear artist! Jamie Olibear looks really handsome and I love his outfit!
So typical me... I couldn't wait so I tried out my old oils paint! And boy was that fun ! My poor bear is all black but I LOOOOOVE the result with the oil paint and I will keep on using them for shading.
Gotta go brush some oil on my boyfriend... and my ferrets... and....
Well THAT was a weird subject...!
Anyway, I want my bear to looks as if it has been taking a bath in ash... you know that old-looking kind of bear with black marks here and there.
Any idea how to make the black "spots"? I have tried Copic markers but they are too black. I was thinking of using oil paint.. how long does it take to dry and what happens if the bear gets wet, does it get sticky?
Thanks Sonya!! So you think he could melt a FEW heart anyway??
I have gotten my first real commission and I'm in need of some serious critisism (good or bad...)!!!!
I contacted a big Swedish "womens magazine" and showed them some pictures of my bears. And believe it or not...but they want me to make a teddybear for a "make a teddybear for your granchildren..." kind of idea in the magazine!
And the thing is that they want this bear to be a kit so that people who are intrested can buy the kit directly from me!
Peeew.... my first kit ever... and it'll be to a magazine!!
Sooo..anywhoooo, I have made a simple bear from a simple pattern (they wanted the bear to have a red hat or something so that it would look a bit "christmasy")....
So bring it on girls!!! I need you help anc critisism! If this bear isn't good enought I will make a new one cause I want this "first time in the spotlight bear" to be a good bear that will melt some hearts! Is he missing something? Should I do another style?
I have made some temporary photos for yoooooou....
Thanks Judi! So, if not to use the Copic Marker airbrush, what should I use? Any special brand?
I'm thinking about getting an airbrush to my copic markers... it looks like a lost of fun and the shading looks so smooth! I want that too!
How many of you uses an airbrush? Is it hard to learn? Is it a mess??
She's so lovely!!
WOW!!!!! You have made such a great job! I have been thinking about doing a really big bear too (maybe not that big... ) and you have made me convinced that it's possible!
I love them!!! How you embroided the claws?
Welcome to Teddy Talk and hope you will enjoy your first kit!
