Teddy Talk: Creating, Collecting, Connecting

Melisa, Daisy is absolutely stunning.  I love the sleeping on her back piccie..

Hope I can explain easily how I do it......

I leave the top open on the arms and legs...then I use my blunt nose pliers to grab a little of the fabric and turn it out...this can take awhile, and I just work and work it around until it is all turned,
I do sometimes use a chopstick to push the remainder out so the foot and pawpads are all nice and sharp along the edges...

Everything is fine, my partner as been found.......

I have finished my swap bear but am having trouble contacting my partner.

I have sent 2 emails over the past 2 weeks..one from my address and one from TT.

Have had no answers to either...hope she is okay. maybe she is away on holidays...

I pinch myself constantly. 9 years ago when I first put my toe in the bear making water I was in awe of all the bear artists in this magazine, I am still in awe of their talents but most of them I can  now call  them my dear, dear friends...

I too have finished mine and am awaiting word from my swap partner..

He is adorable Wendy....I think we can all relate to his hair-do!!

I hand sew all my bears, as Clare said, it can be done anywhere anytime...and I find I have more control by handstitching..

Congratulations on your awards......I have one of your mice and he sits very proudly on my sideboard..

I can understand how hard it must have been for the judges......the standard is exceptional.

An advert for bear hunting or [INVALID] sites was inappropriate and also I got my own domain name..

As what has already been stated...you get what you pay for..

I am of the same mould as Joanne, I create and make bears because I just love to.
Each bear I create is like a journey as he or she starts to evolve.

I do not have in my mind " I wonder how much this little one will fetch".
If someone purchases a bear of mine it does a lot for my self esteme and I am happy that the bear collecter will have a little bear that no one else has got.

If I get enough money to buy more bear stuff, ie  fur, eyes, etc I am stoked.

I don't take into consideration  my time when I price them and this is my choice..
