Yes, thank you, Melissa. I think I understand about feeds better now. Sounds like a really good idea...not sure about blogging for me yet, but I appreciate everyone's opinions, experiences and thoughts on the matter.
Awww, Auntie Chrissi...you aren't proud and excited or anything, are you?
I love baby pictures so bring 'em on...oh, and congratulations too!
Congratulations, Shari...enjoy those little devils.
Me, too. I love Bear Creations and recently subscribed through the distributor in Canada that you posted recently.
     While it seems just awful now, this too shall pass.
Shelli is soooo right: kids torture us in ways no one else can. So true. Hopefully, she will outgrow it if she finds it isn't going to freak you out like she'd hoped.
I let my son get one ear pierced when he was 16...then he went to UC Berkeley and came home with several more ear piercings and an eyebrow pierce and I don't know what else there may have been in places I couldn't see. I didn't like it but I smiled with furrowed brow and said "cool." I couldn't fool him, though, he knew right away I hated it. Thankfully, when he started grad school he removed all but one ear ring...he started thinking maybe he should look a little more professional in order to get a part-time job while in school.
Good luck...and remember, on the grand scheme of things, this isn't the worst she could do.
He's beautiful...those eyes and his clothes and everything.
He's very, very cute. You should be very pleased with yourself.
Well, Shelli, at least he gave you some hope!  Somebody has to win the lottery but it never seems to be us.
Laura Lynn: As I said, I sent your post to my husband...his response:
YOU WISH!!
You are so lucky...do you see what I have to deal with?
Jenn...so sorry to hear of your tough times. I know how frightening it can be to go through rough spots, but I so agree with Louise's comment. Stay positive (believe me, I know that can be very hard and I've not always been able to do it myself), hold your head high and know that something good is coming your way.
The cameraman must have been very impressed with your supplies and your workroom to have spent so much time setting up and filming there. People don't often understand how very special artist bears are and the work that goes into making them. I'm sure you made quite an impression.
I posted earlier but it hasn't shown up...that happens to me occasionally so I don't know where my messages go...
But anyway...Wow...I would have been thrilled with one of Daphne's bears, but if I ever came home and found a red Mercedes...or any color...I'd first think I wasn't at my house and then I'd have a heart attack.
My husband often tells me "that there's just nothing else to buy you, that you have everything..." Of course, that's not true.
Well, I've copied your entire post and sent it to him at his office, and told him the next time he can't think of a thing to get me, he needs to revisit your post. For good measure, I also sent it to the husband of my dearest friend as well.
You are a lucky, lucky girl and your husband is a terrific guy!
Congratulations to Garnet on his new position. I hope he enjoys it as much as you expect he will. Is the training school near where you live now or will you be moving?
Priceless expression and the pup is adorable.
Amy, I know what you mean about all this talk about blogs! So far I am terribly intimidated by them...how could I ever do that and what could I ever talk about that would keep people's interest! And my eyes kind of glaze over when I start reading about rss and feeders and html....But love yours...non-threatening, easy. I'm thinking I might be able to do that. And, as always...love your whimsical style...and those names.
Sounds great!
Beautiful little girl and I love her peachy color; and what a beautiful surprise for you. It's so nice to know you can meet such wonderfully kind people here.
Thanks for sharing the photos and video. You look great and absolutely perfect for your interview. All that fretting about what to wear...it was perfect and appropriate for working in your studio. I would loved to have seen more of your bear collection but maybe later when you get the DVD. Congratulations; you must be just so pleased and proud of yourself and I bet your parents are just beaming. I tell everyone I know you and even though we've never met I'm just so proud of you, too.
Everything about Bosley is perfect. He has a beautiful face and I love the rest of him, too. I love your style and I'm surprised to learn you don't (already) sell your bears.
Bobbie...I'm with you. I was crazy about Jim Hutton; he was soooo cute and he died way too young.
What a great treat not only to find the work table, but all the little treasures inside...me, I love old buttons.
I am so very sorry for your loss. Very sad for someone so young and for her young family.
So sorry for your loss. Sounds like you were close to your grandmother so you must have a lifetime of hahppy memories. My thoughts are with you.
That's great, Eliza. You sound very excited, as well you should be.
Aaahhhh, it's the simple pleasures that make life good. Very cute.
