I've just tried both links, and they both work perfectly for me.  In fact it loaded incredibly quickly.

Just a tip - you may find problems with Safari when it comes to using websites where you need to load pictures.  I have no problem on TT with Safari, but Freewebs (my website company) won't work properly, and neither will my blog, so I use Firefox for this.  Firefox can be downloaded free from the Apple website.

We are fine here in Cheltenham!!  The river has stayed low. 

Where has the summer gone in the UK???  I can't believe it is July!!  We had such a lovely warm, dry April, that the weather is obviously making up for it now!!!!

I've been looking out for info all day too!!  I was hoping someone who was there may have taken note of all the winners and shared it with us.  I'm trying to be patient - but not very successfully!!!!

I hope they follow this through right to the point where this restaurant owner is prosecuted.  It makes me so angry reading something like this.  The more I see of life, the more I realise the world is full of completely ignorant people.  Only by fighting will these people be put in their place.  Good luck to your firend and his wife. :hug:

Many places in the UK have today been badly affected by severe flooding.  I am watching footage on the news of people being rescued by helicopters all over the country.  It has been the wettest June on record.  Apparently a month's rainfall has fallen in 24 hours.  One man has died and a teenager has been swept away by the water.  Streets all over the country have been turned into fast flowing rivers, and cars are floating along in the water.
The effects are so widespread.  Here in Gloucestershire, there are many villages and areas that are almost completely cut off.  It took my parents an hour and a half to get to work, when it usually takes them 10 minutes!!
We woke up this morning to find that the River Chelt which runs down the end of our garden is no longer a little trickle of water, but a fast-flowing mass of water.  It was a bit scarey for a while, as it was coming up to our garden, but we were relieved when it began to lower.  Here are a few pictures. Bear in mind that this is usually a trickle of water that you could stand in up to your ankle.

It has already begun to retreat at this point, leaving debris and mud on the drive and in our garden:

Watching the news, I realise that we have been so lucky.  So many people's houses are under water.  People have had to abandon their cars that have ended up stranded.  Many people are without power.

I am just praying now that the rains holds off for a while.  Some places are forecast for things to get worse before they get better.  I can't remember ever seeing scenes like this so widespread in the UK before.

Has anyone else in the UK been affected by these floods?????

Shelli,  I just LOVE to read your posts - you make so much sense!!  Your view of people and the world is just so logical.
To this new bearmaker and her 'teacher', all I can say is that it is their loss.  I cannot even quantify all that I have gained from being a member of this community.

I noticed this little bear on your blog, and he really made me smile, with his cheeky little grin!!!  It is sometimes a real relief to try something completely different isn't it!!!

Well, yesterday Hubby and I went to Windsor Castle.  The flag was flying which meant the Queen was in residence, because of the Ascot races.  Windsor is a lovely place - it was just a shame that it kept raining!!
As it is now Saturday morning, when I have finished on the internet, hubby and I will probably go and do a bit of shopping in Cheltenham.  I LOVE shopping - yippee!!!
