Who's a little sweetie....she looks like she would never put a foot wrong..cute outfit too.
Love your collage Nancy, roll on 1st June...
Terrie, your bears have such sweet faces...love them.
I'm counting the days too...
Another peek.....beautiful......
I hope everyone is enjoying the sneek peeks, I know I am and carn't wait for the big week.....JUNE 1st..put it into your diary.....its going to be a fun ball..
I use my computer program (photo studio ) to increase or decrease my patterns.
I go by eye when I reach the size that I want......haven't done the take off seam allowance though...this works for me.
As it is with designing and being happy with your finished pattern and project it is all trial and error...sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. Keep tweeking it until you are completely satisfied...
Great Wendy, I think I may have to ask Sandi nicely to do one for my bears for the show....have no idea how to a collage...
I used my doggies name for my website.....she is in heaven now so it is a lovely reminder of her for me...
Paypal is my method of receiving payments too...have not had any problems with this way..
Thank-you Joanne and Denise...Kira has found a new home already, I am so stoked..
Thanks Clare....yes I bought mine from a bear fair. I have used the watered down PVA too
It doesn't hide uneven stitches though, so don't use it to hide things!!!
Kira has been made from cream and turquoise green mohair.
She measures just 5"-12.5cm, all her details can be read on my website.
She would love you to drop by and say hello.
Thanks ladies, she has got a soft and cuddly feel.
I have another fabric similar to this fur but in a darker colour with a tipped look.
May have to make a little boy bear with that...
I agree that the nose embroidering is the hardest tp perfect...I have tried vertical stitching, needle-felting but at the moment I am trying the Ted Menton way...horizontal stitching and then I am applying nose shine.
I am still practising and learning.....
Thanks Denise, I love your latest "old" style bears too.
Congrats Jane, he is so lifelike...
Thank-you Lynn.
This little lass has been waiting a little time to be finally put together.
Don't you just hate it when you run out of the size disc that you need NOW.
Tarlee has been created using a faux fur.
Hopefully she will be on my website soon, there is a slight problem with the Webs site at this moment.
Thank-you everyone....I and Riley appreciate your comments...
Riley has been created using Schulte mohair and he is only 5"-12.5cm.
He would love you to drop by and say hello...
You could give the needlefelting for this, I have tried it and it worked.
I can just imagine a little "hippy" platy-puddle.
Flower power being the theme.....
I too cut the ears a little longer and with the long thread still attached after closing the seam I take the thread right through the head to where the other ear is to be placed and then return through the head and ladder stitch the ear in place. I do the same method when attaching the 2nd ear.
When turning the itsy bitsy ears I found a chopstick is great for pushing the ear seam out...
Fleur the little bear in my avator is a little mini 3.6"...used this method for her and my other little ones on my website..
I am sure critters are allowed too Wendy, especially your little puddles..
