Mandi had her surgery yesterday and she is doing great. Today we picked her up and brought her home.
We can still hardly believe she is even alive. 
And look who else is happy to see Mandi.
She'll have her cast removed in two to three days and then we have start therapy on her arm. She has two pins and wires in her right elbow....oh..and as I sit here typing...Mandi has just hobbled in to come sit on my lap.
We're so glad she's home....and even happier it was not Rachel who was hit,

Thank God Rachel was not hit! Sometimes animals are like guardian angels. Mandi may have been there to protect Rachel that afternoon, who knows. Ever watch Miracle Pets on PAX? I'm a cornball...I know 
but I just love these darn animals so much

Seriously - I'm so glad she's on the mend and the family is recovering from the shock. Its not just what happened I always think but what's even worse is the fact you feel sooooooooo helpless.
She will be jumping about all over the place before you know it. They don't seem to be troubled by the things we human fret over.
Are the pins temporary or permanent?
