Does anyone have one of those photo printers that will print out 4x6 photos from your digital camera?
Do you like it, do the pics look good? Wonder if you have to have the same brand camera and printer for it to work?????

Any info would be appreciated....................

My digital is getting old and so is my 35mm . I don't always need 35mm pics but would be nice to be able to print just the ones I like from my digital and have them look like good quality pictures.

Hi Tami

I have an Epson photo printer and I love it - I was considering giving it away as I now have a bigger printer that will print 6 x 4s but I think I like the pictures from my photo printer better and I don't think it uses as much ink as the bigger printer.  The quality seemed every bit as good as from a shop photo - the only thing maybe they scratch a little more easily but then the only photo I've scratched so far was glued to the front of a notebook - and tossed arond in a suitcase for a couple of weeks - so even a regular photo may have scratched.

I don't have the newer version that has the built in picture viewer (one day!) I tend to work out on my laptop which photos I will print - Initially I didn't have the right cable to connect it to my laptop so I could print edited photos from there, but it was only a couple of minutes extra work to find a work around.

I can stick my camera card straight into my laptop - so if I needed to edit photos before I printed them - I'd edit them on the laptop (adding text if necessary) - save them onto my camera card - then stick the camera card in the printer and away I'd go.  I tend to print two pictures to each 6 x 4 as that's the size that fits in my little bear album I take to shows.  Do use the best camera paper you can afford.
