This is Sox. I drew this pattern but it was so heavily based on Lisa's it was just a if I had used it anyway (although bigger and stockier shape.
This is the pattern I used to base Sox on!
These patterns are not my own, they were from Lisa Pays patterns an Australian artist. Sox was not directly from her pattern but was heavily based on it.
These were made a while ago and they taught me alot about how animal patterns go together and I use the same principals still in some of the other animals I do.
This is Sassy. I made her not too long after I started bear making following Lisa's pattern. Had a pretty horrible camera then as well
The sassy pattern
Bronwen, your cats are darling! I am partial to Sox as I has a calico cat as a child! I still have yet to make the head for my portrait of my black cat Cinder because I have so many other things started right now. I'm using Lisa Pays' Sassy pattern for it too. Those are great patterns. I'll show Cinder off soon. (I've mentioned him a couple of other times, so some might be thinking OK! Finish him already!!!)
Bron ...great cat...and the dog is pretty special too, it's good to see you back into it now that your health and kids etc are better ( touching wood here!!)
Gorgeous Bronwen!! Great to see you showing and telling
Great job!! these patterns can get tricky. I made a bear with the under gusset one time and it looks like an afghan dog.
Keep at it and soon you will fing your own cat within the pattern. I adore Sassy. All that long hair. So realistic
I must say that Sassy looks so much more alive then the cat on the pattern! Good job!
