I've just completed this little girl. She's a commission order for a regular customer of mine. Fennel is 16" and made in Intercal's pretty 370sc mohair in 'buttercup'. It's such a lovely mohair for this size of bear. She wears a hand knitted wrapover cardigan which ties in a bow behind her and I've given her hand painted sparkly blue eyes, with little lids ... a bit of a new direction for me! I enjoyed the detailing, but boy was it time consuming for one so small!

Someone wrote to me recently and told me off for hardly ever making girl bears ... since then, without consciously realising it until now, I've hardly made any boy bears!! :crackup:

I think that she definately looks girlie Paula and I love her big sparkly eyes.The vast majority of bears I make seem to end up as boy bears.I never even realised this until I spoke to someone who runs a bear shop and he mentioned this and I hadn't even noticed.Maybe I am influenced by my five sons without realising it. bear_original
