This is 'Joshua'. He's destined for the Hugglets show at the weekend and was completed this afternoon, but as my house move has taken such a toll on my schedule, I really don't know if 'Just Joshua' will be enough to make up the numbers for my stand!
I thought I'd share him here anyway ... he's a substantial 21" teddy bear in classic style, with a traditional growler in his tummy. Joshua is made from Intercal's beautiful alpaca in 1" dense pile ... colour 555S Antique Honey.

Thanks guys! I really appreciate the kind comments ... it's been a bit of a stressful time lately and making bears is always difficult when stress levels rise, so it's great to hear that you like this bear. I just hope I can at least get another couple finished before the weekend ... maybe I just might manage 5 or 6 big bears for the show if I keep focused this week. If the sun comes out I'll be flying! I always feel more energised when the sun shines! Look forward to seeing you there Samantha ... by the way, I can't remember if I left a message or not, but I meant to say your dressed bears are sooooooooooooooooooooooooo beautiful and I am staggered at how many you've managed to create for the show!
Oh Ellen, your message has made me feel so much better! 
As you know, I've been very tired and lacking in confidence for this show, wondering what I had to offer ... but I'd still like to try to be there because it's always so nice to catch up with everyone on a show day and that's important when our work makes us so isolated the rest of the year. So I've decided to try and use this week productively to make sure I get to Hugglets, but I'm not going to overstretch myself because that way I won't be happy with my bears.
Your positive andrenalin wishes will certainly help me make sure the bears I can manage will be what I want to achieve! I've decided to work with the classic/contemporary flavour, as I know I can make these turn out okay when I'm short on time and I won't be taking too many risks with them!
It's such a shame you can't make it to Hugglets this time, but in your shoes, I'd do exactly the same as you are doing. It's too far and too expensive to come without being confident that you have enough to sell and sure that you are feeling strong enough for the show. For me, it's just an hour's drive from my home, so I can take a chance. I do hope you feel stronger soon Ellen xx :hug:

I am so pleased you are going to be at Hugglets....I was beginning to worry, what with the house
move........It will be great, as we are in the same hall!!!
I have not been able to make as many bears as I would have liked....but I can't be rushed,
otherwise I loose all interest and my work suffers. So you just pace yourself and be happy with
the bears you are able to make!...sounds as though you have everything under control anyway!

Apple Dumpling DesignsAs you already know, I just love your bears and Joshua is no exception. He's magnificant and just makes you want to snuggle right up to him.
Congrats on your move...as stressful as they are. Hugglets will be over before you know it and you can sit back and enjoy your new surroundings...or at least I hope you can.

Thanks for dropping in everyone! I'm so pleased you like my bear and I'm looking forward to Hugglets now ... no matter how many bears I do or don't have! Yvonne, I noticed you're just across the room from me, so we'll be able to have a natter! I'm also really looking forward to the week after Hugglets when I can perhaps take a bit of time to do things around my new home... I'm itching to get out into the garden!
