On B4B, some artists have used a template which looks very attractive. I went to the website that designs them, but was not sure what to do when I got there.
You obviously have to purchase or join ??? and then do they send you a Blank template that you "decorate" or do you send them your notes , pictures etc and they do the template which you pay a feee for.

I see in the B4B "detail section" you can use some key and that opens a new window but then the info has to be HTML- so this means you must undestand the language to be able to get your info into this.

If I was to do my own template in word- which I tried, a very basic form, pictures, background colour etc, copy and pasting into the B4B detail section does not work  why? the script appears but no pictures?

So if I want the professional look and have to pay for it and then be able to manage it myself, where to from here ?

thanks
Lynette
p.s. this is venturing into something new- so I need from A-Z in teddy bear language please, if anyone can help

Hi Lynette, I am no expert by any means.
But I thought that the reason your pics might not show is that you need to have them somewhere on the web.
For example my photo's are loaded on my website so they are directed from there.
You can't see them on a page or anything on my site, but they are there.
then in B4B i have something like -
<IMG src="http://www.realdealbears.com/b0be5.jpg" border=2>

I started off with a bought template, but now I have changed it so much it's unrecognisable from the original template.
There is no reason that you can't do it yourself if you know a bit about HTML
I just thought it would get me going alot faster  bear_grin

Hi Ladies...
I just wanted to let you know real quick about a new board that will be opening on the Bid 4 Bears called the Round Table.  It's a support board where everyone can post exactly this type of question, and where there will be resources, links, tutorials etc.   There are also sections on html, photography and General B4B support.  It's set up as a community where users can help users with auction listings and related items.    It's not a talk or chat board, but rather a support board, and it's called the Round Table.  I hope to have it up and running tonight.

hugs,
nt
