This time while I was at the Japan teddy bear Exhibition, I had an assistant who soon became a friend helping me. I was selling some South African mohair, mohair now manufactured in South Africa.Kuras purchased some( the price with our SAR/$ is very good!!!!) .
She made these two bears from the farbic she purchased and sent me the pictures with a note written on the back of them.
"Dear Lynette,
Thank you for sending me email. I am very happy to hear from you.Did you have a good time at the show? In truth I was very happy know you at the show in Toko. In spite of my poor help you gave me the big present!!. I was very surprised of it and now he became my best friend. That was my spcial thing. And I want to say thank you. I am looking forward to seeing you in japan someday. If you come I want to show you some shopping places. Please come to our country again, and I hope you will have good days, your friend Kuras"
This is what makes my "bear making" just one of those special things, and I thank the higher power for giving me something that allows me to share it with so many other people in this world.

Aw that's brilliant Lynette. Lucky you going to Japan, I would love to, my Daughter lived there for a couple of years and I saw the photos! And heard the stories of the lovely people there (she nearly married a Japanese man but it fell through) I have a Japanese pen friend "Yumi" who also makes bears, would be nice to see her sometime.
The bear pics are great.

Wow!!! She's done an amazing job on her little bear. I have to admit, the more I looked at the first pic, the more I became that he'd fall! But I'm sure he'd just dust himself off and climb right back up
Thanks for sharing the pics and the story  Its interesting to see the traditional Japanese buildings, and of course the cherry blossoms!!! I bet you can't wait to go shopping...oooh, I mean visiting
Lynette: What a nice thing...very touching...Isn't nice to have friends from different countries....The bears are adorable.
