when you needlefelt a bear face onto mohair do you pluck what you want removed and then start poking the needle with wool?

alpaca-head-1.jpgI generally cut down the mohair that I want to needlefelt over. Then I gradually cover the area with little balls of wool and poke poke poke poke until they are well attached. You can then keep adding little bits of wool to build up the musculature of the face.
A great place to learn more about this technique is at Nancy's site: http://www.kranbearys.com/EbearZ/index.htm
