One plus one may equal three! I know I have not been around much lately, but have I been busy. Not only do we have the Farmer's Market beginning and the whole adoption thing going on, but now I have two new additions to tend to. The first pic is Alvin. (That's Clarisse checking him out) My son found him in the road Monday on his way home from work. He is about three weeks old and has a broken leg. The vet says that because of his size and the location of the break, it cannot be set. However, because he is so young, the leg will knit itself. It may not be a perfect leg, but it should be functional. So now I am bottle feeding this sweet baby. The second pic is Buttercup. We have taken her in after her owners moved and left her abandoned. She is a real sweety, but as you can see in the picture, she most likely is pregnant and due fairly soon. The vet cannot give us a whole lot of info at this point, so we are playing a waiting game with her. So, needless to say, my bear making is moving at a snail's pace.
Bless you for your kindness to this little guy.
Cheryl
Oh Millie...you have the biggest heart!!! I think these little and not so little critters are purposely "dropped" at your doorstep.
I think a few bears can wait to be born!!!
Thank goodness there are kind people like you, with huge hearts. I'm sure the bears don't mind waiting and in fact, I can hear them clapping for you!
I can only hope that down the road, these horrible owners will rewarded in kind. I can't imagine abandoning any animal!
hugs,
Brenda
How can someone 'abandon' a horse, or any animal for that matter I hope you can report them to someone - who knows what they'll do next!
Marion
We have taken her in after her owners moved and left her abandoned.
When I run the world:
Ppl like these will be taken out on the tundra or into a desert or to the So. Pole and left to fend for themselves
Millie: what a good soul you are for taking in two recued animals. The world could learn from your example.
Millie, bless you for being such a caring woman!
The wee kitty is so cute! And so it Buttercup.
I know, that both have found paradies on earth, because you´ll take care of them so well.
All the best!
Gaby

Uggghhh...people frustate me! How you could abandon a pregnant horse and leave a sweet little helpless kitten on the street! God bless people like you for taking them in and making sure they get a new loving home!
Bear Hugs,
Kim
