For artists and collectors sponsored by Intercal...your mohair supplier and Johnna's Mohair Store
Hi,
I spoke with a woman from Ronald McDonald House this morning about their annual teddy bear charity auction. It seems that they've been having a harder time getting folks to donate bears because those aritsts who heavily supported this charity auction in past years have retired from bear making. They are in need of new artists to keep this this auction, which benefits extremely sick kids and their families - offering the family housing while the child is hospitalized, alive and thriving.
If you have been contact by the Ronald McDonald House please know that this is a very legitimate and worthwhile cause but they can only be successful with our help!!

Thanks for the added info Daphne  I've actually contacted them asking several questions about donating a bear for this very cause. ...gulp...just hoping I can get the bear finished on time!
Do you know if they have a size preference on the bears? Or if they're not keen on real fur or anything??
The auction draws in teddy bear collectors who are there to BUY.
And as we know, collector's taste varies as much as the artist bears do!
I try to send something I think will raise them a good amount of money, that will be desirable by collectors. If you make a style of bear that a lot of people seem to really like that's one to go with!
I'd love to go to the auction!
 Thanks for the extra tip Daphne
