Can anyone recommend a company to host images? I need these for my auctions and eBay's About Me page.

The ones I've been looking up today are like going through cell-phone-hell. They either have sub-pages that are Error Messages (a huge tip-off on their own services) or they  host only family/blog type sites & not business-connected, or want to host a domain/website. It's a total run-around trying to find the info I need on each of these sites...

My present company - tupics - had 'something' happen last Friday that corrupted my auction images
http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dl … 0173072856
and lost all of my data supporting these 2 sites. eBay & Me pages

I'm pretty sure I wrote all of this on Sat. I was looking for another template company like activa or sellers' source book. I've since decided to not use them. I'm probably too impatient to figure out the reams of info I printed out to apply for a user acct. The one I had/have @ tupics was a matter of putting in my computer address/location and start to upload my images/files.

I did some sleuthing and found active auctions by 2 other tupics clients: they reported a problem on Fri and then everything went back to normal. Well mine didn't - and my 3 emails to the company have been returned. Prob a stuffed mailbox from angry customers like me! I have a Voice mail & fax number but they are the only other contact info I can find. I'm also going to go with only a company who clearly has phone, email, live chat, etc listed ON THEIR HOME PAGE so you canj get through to someone! I still don't know what happened and don't want to cut all ties - yet - as I'm hoping what Nancy says will come true: that the data will be restored, I'll make copies ...and THEN I'll quit them!

I'm really digusted about having to list a week late (according to my schedule) this coming Thurs, on eBay's default page. I need somewhere soon to host my images; I'd been paying about $5 a month to do this.

And I'm pleading with Penny to build the/a template for me again!

Any help or suggestions?

Bobbie,
I use auctiva and I just registered and that seemed to be all the information they needed.  It's free and really simple - it  has to be for and computer-dummy like me.

                                 hugs,

If you don't mind using FTP to transfer your files (as opposed to submitting them via a web upload form), definitely consider Pair Networks.  I use them for all of my hosting, domains and so on.  Their cheapest service is a $6/month account which is, as they say, perfect for auction photos.  I have been using Pair for years and have been a very happy customer.

THX Kelly, but that's way beyond my ken. I don't even understand what FTP is (I know what the initaials stand for...) but have no idea how to work within that system.

I'm struggling through Auctiva. I've gotten slightly farther than I did last week with it - having registered, I'm up to the point of Add (or is it Upload) Images.

So far I'm stymied because it's not showing my Desktop where the folder of images is currently sitting....

I think I'll quit for tonight .... and leave another voice mail & fax to Tupics......

Can you tell?? I HATE this stuff!!!

Well, it never fails - I get all set up with another option (auctiva) and Bingo, all of my data reappears (just as was suggested)!!
At 6:30 and again an hour ago I sent to TT and to someone else, the fabric auction link to show the damaged images. Of course they're fine now....
I had just picked up the phone to leave tupics a VM and in opening my page on their site, I note that everything's back in place... like it never happened.
Let's see if my BP drops back in the next few days!!!

Hi Bobbie,

I use photobucket, you can upload heaps of pics in one go, and can just store them all there for whenever you need them......it's free and a terrific picture host.

As you can see, my host is back online (really ticked off that there is no explanation or apology in an email or on their home page...they'll hear from m e on that, plus demanding an extension of 5 days on my billing cycle) but I did disover a built-in feature on Auctiva: place a Watermark on every image and not done with Photoshop's more extensive set-up. Neat!!

I think I'll be saving all images on both sites, in the event this should happen again. And I will still look into photobucket & flickr.
You're (all) The BEST!!!
