I think it's my suspicious mind: for almost 3 days I've been a glass-half-empty-person but now I'm leaning toward the glass-half-full side.
Monday morning this email came, supposedly through eBay's Ask The Seller A Question feature:

Activity with tmcneil2hv7 (last 90 days): I have bid on 0 items from tmcneil2hv7.
Activity with tmcneil2hv7 (last 90 days): smokehouserob has bid on 1 of my items.
Hello,
I'm still waiting the item for about 5 days. What happened? Please respond me ASAP.
Thank you,
Kelly.

First - it says that smokehousebob/Kelly/tmcneil2hv7 has bid on one of my items in the last 90 days. The ID is unusual enough that I would tend to've remembered it - I don't.
Then there's no info on what the 'item' is.
Finally the Respond Now button opens an Error page.
These had me searching through the past 3 months of my eBay & Paypal histories for anything left undone. On the '5 days' date I did receive an empty order form through my website but that's the only thing I can think of.
This unnerved me for a few days - now I think it's a scam, though how 'Kelly' expects to receive anything I can't imagine, as the respond button leads nowhere.
I hate it when I've forgotten to finish something & those things usually lurk over me like a black cloud. I've blown the cloud away today - but has anyone else ever gotten something like this?
(And are there any Kellies here that I owe something too????)
Bobby..I had something similar..something like 'if you don't contact us about why you haven't paid for item xxxxxxx we will leave you negative feedback' then I am supposed to click the respond button...turned out to be a scam ..It had me worried though..and wasting time going through my purchases in case I'd not paid for something...
Let this situation completely leave your mind Bobbie. I've had things like this too... messages in my eBay box asking why I haven't paid for my big screen TV, etc.... The scary thing is that they really aren't expecting you to pay for the non existant TV or ship the supposed "item" (as they are requesting in your case.) Generally, something in their message is "clickable" and when you click there it takes you to an eBay or Pay Pal sign in screen. Of course, it's not REALLY from that company and when you do sign in they have your password, and access to whatever information you have stored in your account. My suggestion... NEVER click on anything in one of these weird eMails. If you do, and you see that the address comes up starting with http rather than https... you KNOW it's a total scam.
Just to be on the safe side, I'd change your eBay password ...
MEANIES!!!!

Change your password! It may have been a password cracker or a keystroke logger. And you don't owe me anything!
Hey guys, NEVER click on ANY respond button from an email from "ebay". It may be someone trying to get your registered email account and that opens the door for ebay to give them your password. It happened to me. Once bitten twice shy.
If ebay or anyone with any association to your auction needs to get a message to you then they can do it through ebay and it will appear on your "my Ebay" page. That's the only safe way to go.
I have been receiving fraudulent emails sent to my former ebay email threatening suspension for not responding. They never give up, do they. May the fleas of a thousand camels infest their underwear.
It's all S P A M ! ( poor Spam. I happen to like that canned 'meat' and think it gets a pretty bad rap on the internet).
DONT answer or trust any email like that unless it is in MY Messages section under MY EBAY,
if you notice on those emails, they are not from ebay or Paypal.
I have been getting some that said sign up for Power Seller, they are NOT from Ebay, always check
your My Messages first!!
And to be on the safe side, I usually change my Ebay and Paypal password about every 3 months.
Hi Bobby,
I have had these too ,they are just trying to get you to sign in so they can hack your account ,never reply to anyhting like this !
hugs,
Louise x
Hi Bobby
Forward the e-mail to spoof@ebay.com
Hugs
Gail
Yep, it's a scam. I've seen them too in my email. Never click on any buttons or reply features with these emails. Check your own "my ebay" account first and then forward this stuff onto spoof@ebay.com ...you'll get a spam/phishing email reply in minutes, confirming it's junk.
If you did hit reply or respond buttons...change all of your passwords ASAP. (I'm like Tami...I change my passwords every 2-3 months.)

I had a real Deja Vu (sp?) moment last night! A friend sent me an auction to check the (poor!) quality of a painting on eBay.
I hit reply and instead of the e being addressed to my friend, it went to '"eBay Member - GUESS WHO?"
Right! "tmcneil2hv7"
What a weird coincidence! Her/Their small amount of Feedback is for snow plows - the kind that attach to the front of a truck, Avon bottles & other Garage Sale stuff.....very creepy
I've looked up their member ID - they are located in the Phillipines! Snow plows for sale!!
They joined this past Feb and are "No Longer A Registered User".
I should have sent my 24 Oct email to eBay.
I wonder if that's about the time the became No Longer Registered Users!!
