Just wanted to tell you all how beautiful all of your creations were for the show....I really enjoyed going through each and every showroom. I think the show was another success. Penny went to the moon and back again for all of us as she always does, so here is for Penny and everyone that was involved in the show...

It was a great show with many lovely creations. What amazes me it that it all loaded so quickly. At home I have very very slow dialup and it wasn't painful at all.

I was only able to peek in once for a few minutes......I went back the next day and poof! the show had disappeared.  I'd missed it my an hour.   bear_sad Any chance for a longer show next time?

Am I getting the right impression here......do you have to stay up round the clock for this show?  Or am I the only one thinking this?  Clueless....as usual! bear_tongue

Warmest bear hugs,

Hi Aleta,
It's up to the artist, but some just took 2-3 hour naps.  I stayed up for the first show, but couldn't do it this time.  I was just too tired - this cough has worn me out.   The show runs for a full 24 hours, starting at midnight Great Britain time.  For me, it was 8:00 pm. Friday to 8:00 p,m Saturday.  For you it would have been 5:00 p.m. Friday to 5:00 p.m. Saturday etc.   I don't know if any of us would still be standing if it were longer, especially Penny.  She is the one person who did stay up all night!

                                              hugs,

                                              Brenda

The show was just wonderful.  I took turns with my daughter to "man" the computer, and so I managed to get a few hours sleep.  She just came and woke me when I had an enquiry.  I did manage to stay awake for about 18 hours though.  It is great to have the forum thread open during the show and all the artists can chat about how sales are going, and jolly each other along to stay awake.  It is really a terrific atmosphere, even though you are at home.  Does that make sense??

We were very silly , and "George" got dragged in to it a lot didn't he ?   (poor lamb - if he only knew ! ?  bear_wacko )
Hugs to all , Ruth

I know, that is the funniest thing.  If poor old George Clooney ever knew that he was being fantasised about by a group of mad bear-making women, he would probably be petrified.  I do think that he should become our BAO official Mascot though.

Penny really did us proud again!  I loved having the forum facility to chat while the show was going on, it really did create a special friendly atmosphere.

I didn't manage to stay awake for a full 24 hours, but I was up way past my bedtime to see the first flurry of enquiries through to completion.  I went to bed at about 2am only to come down in the morning to find an Australian collector had been frantically trying to get hold of me through the night!

Hi All,
Thankee Kindly for the nice comments. It does my old crotchety heart good to hear that you enjoy the shows even if you do have to resort to general wickedness and tomfoolery on the chat forum to keep yourselves awake!
It was a really super successful show and i have now sent out emails to all BAO members and posted the Winter Warmer show statistics on the forum so you can see the amazing results. Woo Hoo, we surpassed the Summer show sales!

P.S.
I have just got to tell you this...
After staying up for 24 hours solid running the show i was sorely looking forward to having the longest sleep of my life. So, i took myself off to bed as soon as i could after the show had finished and within a nanosecond i was away with fairies to the land of Nod - only to be woken at 2 am in the morning by the biggest bang since the creation of the universe! I looked out of my bedroom window to see a bunch of reprobates who had thrown chains around the original old cast aluminium red telephone box just across the road from my house and were proceeding to drag the whole damn thing off up the high street! Tyres smoking, wheels screeching and them yelling 'Yeehaaw' at the top of their lungs! We could hear them dragging this poor old telephone box for miles - you have never heard a sound like it!

Needless to say.............the police turned up.........blue flashing lights....................the highways department turned up, yellow flashing lights, noisy engine, wynching the bits and pieces onto the truck, loadsa noise...................excited chatter from the locals all gathered outside in their none-too fetching nighties for a gossip about the state of the world yadda yadda yadda

I finally got back to sleep at 4.40 am and i still have'nt caught up on my sleep!
