Punishment for scaring the family... (scarring? scaring? same thing!!)
Grounding? Yes, but not enough...
No phones (cell or land)? Yes, but not enough...
No friends over? Yes, but STILL not enough...
Let's see... hmmm... what could be a big enough punishment for a 15 year old that runs off to Miami? Notice the key words there... 15 years old.

Waggle BearsGreat idea and that is certainly a biggie compared to grounding and cell phones. I'm so glad you have her back. I hope she realizes what a scare that was for you. You know, sometimes kids just don't think.

Bears by JodiOh my !! Kids will give you gray hair !! I have plenty to prove it !! I think you need to be really firm ...so you are doing a good job !!! Hang in there... being a good mom is really hard some times but someone has to do it !!!

BruinwerksI saw someone on TV the other day whose kid had done something similar say that "we decided not to make a big deal of it - we didn't want to start WorldWar 3" . The host of the show (TD Jakes (love him!)) said " Your kids are worth the war". You and her Dad have shown her that her safety and wellbeing are worth something to you by giving her a lasting and well thought out punishment - I say GOOD FOR YOU!
