Ok I am a member of another bear group and they are all shocked too
So I have an idea..............................
Could we all on mass e-mail Warners, to tell them that they must try to keep Teddy Bear Scene alive.
Do they realise the impact they have had by pulling the plug, I treasure both my TBS and TBCI and count the days down for when they will be in the shop
I really feel for Kathy and Sophie I am sure it must have been a hard descision for both of them and they must be feeling really bad that Warners have done this....................don't its not your faults, you both have to do what is right for you
But do Warners realise how popular this mag is, well maybe we should tell them
Let me know what you think, BUT don't shoot me please
If you think it a good idea, let me know, and spread the word to collectors, other forum, group etc
Can you imagine the guys at Warners when they go in on Tuesday morning e-mail melt down
I hope this doesn't infringe TT rules , I just felt we had to say NO
I don't think anyone would shoot you sweetie It's a good idea, look what fans of Jericho were able to do over here in the states. (tv show that was cancelled and saw huge outcries from fans....granted it was cancelled again in the end, but that probably had more to do with a very long writers strike impacting viewers ...whole 'nother idea) BUT you can try, can't hurt to try!
Emails are good, but physical letters can really make so much more of an impact still...shows true intention and real passion to write, print and mail rather than type and click.
Here's a link with a postal address:

Just looked over their publications.....huh, I wonder how many people subscribe to "air conditioning and refrigeration today"
Good Luck!!

Thanks Chrissi, I think the engineering one probably has a select audience as well
Oh I could just go a-knocking on the door right now, only take me about 15 mins to get there and I know where it is in Bourne
The only reason I thought of e-mails was because it was instant and if we mobilised now, they would indeed get to work on Tuesday and find a mass plea but you do have a point about the letters though
What does everyone else think? e-mail or letter
Sue,
Reading the other thread and the fact that Kathy and her assistant, Sophie, have both left recently as well as continuing to renew subscriptions, it almost seems as it was a spur of the moment decision. Maybe they felt it was easier than trying to find a new editor, especially a good one.
It might be a good idea to inundate them with letters. Maybe you could email and then print off the email and mail it - double your presence? Maybe you should print off the entire thread about the cancellation and send it to them and if anyone belongs to other bear groups, get print outs of their threads (I'm sure there are others!). Spread the word about the letter writing campaign. If you know their address - both email and for printed letters, put it in this thread. You might be surprised how many people feel like you do. For me, we couldn't get it here anymore. It was only available at Chapters and they seemed to have stopped carrying it, but I still hate to see it fold. Good luck!
hugs,
Brenda
