Hello everyone!
First of all, I would like to introduce a fairly recent creation - Bierre le Pouf! I found some mohair in Nagoya and was overcome with the urge to make a poofy little fellow.
He sits at about 8.5cm tall and stands at about 13cm (if you do not count the extra height added by his extreme poofiness).
He is made from German mohair with glass eyes. He is hand sewn, fully jointed and designed by me. He currently has 1 brother made from the same pattern which was given as gift. He will have 1 - 2 more, depending on how much I can squeeze out of the remaining fur and how many friends bug me for their own Bierre.
He is actually a lot bigger than my normal size, but I like him anyway.
I absolutely adore the slightly quizzical expression my Bierre has and how the wisps of hair seem to alter and add to it depending on the angle.
Any constructive criticism is welcome! But please be kind! Unlike a lot of people here, I am not a professional bear maker. They tend to circulate with me and my friends only since I do not have nearly as much time as I would like to make bears with. But please do let me know what you think of him. :)
Oh yes, and forgive the photo. It's the only one I have on my work PC. I need to learn how to take better pictures. :/
P.S. Am struggling to upload the photo from here - so am going to old photobucket route for now. Sorry.
Very, very cute! The multiple pictures from different angles are a nice touch.
Welcome to Teddy Talk, Skylark.
I think he's really cute, Michelle, and look forward to seeing more of your work. Big welcome to Teddy Talk!
