The very last TBS  bear_cry  bear_cry just arrived, and for those of you with subscriptions, they have included a letter explaining that the "teddy content will be transferred to "Collect It" magazine"..........make of that what you will! You have the option of transferring your sub to Collect It, or getting a refund..........so we will get our money back!
Lots of TTers in there (as usual) and a great article about SANDI SMITH - way to go, Sandi - congrats!

I was so upset to hear it was the last edition so I called the subscription line to find out more.

Apparently not all of the content will transfer to the 'Collect It' magazine, however there will be some teddy bear content.

My bigger concern was the 'Readers Choice Awards' as I had just begun to photograph my entries for the competition which was to be submitted for end June - results end October.  I have never entered a competition before and was really excited about it.
I have now been told that the competition would be withdrawn now too.

Teddy Bear Scene had also requested to do an 'Artist Profile' on Boogaloo Bears and I had to decline any articles with Teddy Bear Club International magazine as I had promised exclusivity to TBS - now I will have to grovel and see if TBCI will now consider me after all - happy days!  bear_cry

bear_sad  I'll really miss that mag, such a shame.  I won't be getting Collect it on subscription, I'll try one and see, but I don't see why I should pay for something I don't really want.

Received mine yesterday and I had two more to come. My offer was to transfer to "Collect It" and also receive a further two copies of that mag or get a refund. I will let it ride and see what "Collect It" has to offer, I believe Kathy will be doing something in the teddy section...not sure what though.

Thanks Maria and Lisa ... the last magazine may become a collector's item itself ... so it's nice that I'm in there!

Hi guys if you go to WH Smiths and have a look at "Collect it" there is currently a teddy section, it is by Kathy and is very nice BUT from what I can remember out of 4 pages 1 page is and advert possibly 1 and a half.

I looked but did not buy, the other content did not appeal and I was left feeling short changed, it would have been fantastic introducing artist bears to another collector group, if TBS had carried on as well

Lisa, as for TBCI they are really nice people bear_grin I am sure they will not make you grovel, Melissa of mjbears was to be in TBS but now is in August TBCI bear_thumb

Hi Sue

Thanks for your words of encouragement. I did contact TBCI and you were right - they were lovely and will be doing an artist feature on Boogaloo Bears in the near future.
So I am over the moon and will make sure that I tell them about the helpful support tips and techniques that the fabulous bear artist makers and bear lovers of TT provide.

Hugs
