I'm ashamed to say that I won't be sending out Christmas cards this year. bear_cry

I've sent to so many of you in past years but I just don't have the time this year. That sounds heartless, I know but its not meant to! My parents are moving in a couple of weeks and it's been crazy house-hunting and packing them up! And like a fool I took on a part time job a few months ago that has really messed up my bear making time! Lastly, we had an ice storm a week and a half ago and we were without power for 6 days. I went to my parent's house with nothing but my clothes and the dogs... so no holiday related activites were done, no bears made......no cards written. I got cards out to those doing the card swap but that's it. I hope you all will forgive me! Thank you to those who have sent cards! I appreciate you!

Please know I'm thinking of you all and wishing you a very special Christmas and hope the new year brings happiness to each and every one of you!

Love and Hugs,
Daphne

You certainly had reasons to not be able to send out cards!  I cut back drastically myself this year.  I hope your stress level goes down soon.  Much good luck with your parents' move and all that you've been dealing with lately.  PEACE to you . . . and I hope it happens - like - NOW!  Your pups are adorable.

Daphne I just know everyone will understand. You have had a lot to contend with lately and anyway what could be better than seeing your two lovely boys Tucker & Riley, they are much cuter than a Christmas card.  bear_wub

Daphne,
First, those boys of yours are just adorable.
Second, I totally understand your situation.  Actually, I have done very, very little for Christmas this year.  Last year was my first Christmas after my daughter died.  People had warned me that the first would be the hardest, so I guess I prepared myself for it.  However, this year has been much harder for me.  I just want it to be over with.  It seems like a daily battle with all of the emotions and fighting depression.  But we will make it through to brighter days.

bear_wub  bear_wub  bear_wub Daphne, your message is card enough for us all.  The dogs look so beautiful.  I can not imagine being without power for one day not alone six.  I also hope the move goes well, its a bad time of year with weather and all to be doing that.  I will hope for a better New Year for you and yours.
Hugs, Pat

You know Daphne, this is a stressful time for many. I love the holiday season but stressed over cards and such. Finally I made a decision six years ago not to send cards. I work 50-60 hours a week.   I told all my friends that it is too much and I will not be sending out cards. It was like a huge burden off my shoulders. What I did was over the month was to call my friends to see how they are doing an wish them a happy Christmas. My friends understood this and they secretly wanted to do the same thing. So really I don't think people will mind. I still have all my friends even though they are "cardless"!!

You know what, Dee?  It really IS okay not to send cards.  This year has been a tough one for many, including me, for so many different reasons.  I only mananged to send cards to my five TT'ers.  Normally I would send a handmade card to everyone I ever got a card from!  Sometimes we just can't do it all....physically or mentally.

I, for one, am looking forward to the new year and putting this year in the dust!

Merry, merry bear hugs,

Tucker and Riley are just adorable and I'm so impressed that you always having them looking like they just came from the groomer.

No worries about cards. I really cut back on my list this year and still don't have them all done...we may just stop where we are. I agree with Aleta; it has been a hard year for many people for many reasons and I do think most people understand. This time of year is just especially hard for me anyway and always has been, even though it's the happiest time of the year.
