I would love to help. Do you know who I can contact to get a permission letter to donate a portion from eBay sales? You can check my current auctions to get an idea of what I'm talking about. Thanks for all you do
Robin,
Thanks so much for wanting to help. I sent you a private msg. with some information. You can find the contact info on their website. Email often gets neglected with so many horses to care for.
Big hugs!
Alison
Thanks Alison I just read the little foal's story. It's so sad. But I'm really happy that thee are kind caring folks willing to help. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for his recovery.
I would be interested in being kept updated. I cant cope with the abuse of innocents. It brings me to tears.
Wendy
Wendy,
I will try to keep everyone up to date on the little foal. I will be headed up to the rescue after dinner. You either have to go early or late because of the heat here. I'll upload some pics when I get home.
Hugs,
Alison
I guess my question is is this happening in AZ? this starving of animals? If so WHERE IS SHERIFF JOE???? Has the Sheriffs dept been told about this abuse? Are these animals coming from drug companies? If so I would like to know which ones, this really should be made public. Oh I am sorry I am ranting, I am mad that this could be happening.
Joanne
This is so, so sad! He's a beautiful little foal and unbelievable that this kind of animal abuse keeps happening. Our rescue horses are doing so well and bring so much joy to us... I wish I had room to take more!
Thanks for the link, I will continue to help, it is a wonderful place for these beautiful creatures!!
Joanne, I'm not sure where the feed lot is where he and his mother were rescued from. I think it is out of state. YES, this type of abuse is here in Arizona and everywhere. Susan takes in unwanted animals at an astonishing rate. When I first met her, she had just 1 mini donkey. She now has 5! Next to horses, these animals are my favorite. They are adorable and lovable. You should go and visit one day but I'll warn you, you'll end up with a manure rake in your hands.
I will go visit again when I return from the San Jose show next weekend. I won't have time before then. But, I will take my camera again and will hopefully show you all a fatter, happier foal. I want to get a good picture of his eyes.
Hugs,
Alison
Thankyou for the update Alison. I'm so ashamed we live in such an appalling world.
