Geppetto and his bearionette
Hurray hurray I have finished my challenge! And I am really proud to present you my version of teddy and his best friend!
Let’s start with the best friend: his name is bearionette because he is … a marionette :-)! Two months ago I saw a puppeteer playing with a marionette in the form of a teddy bear! Since this event I am delighted by this craftwork.
So when I saw the challenge started by Paula the best friend had to be a marionette. I designed the pattern and now you can see the result.
I am really curious about your opinions and I hope you like Gepetto (the daddy of Pinocchio) and his little friend.
Thanks for looking!
Claudia, they are absolutely WONDERFUL!! What a great idea and well executed as well!   Just adorable!
Cheryl

Thank you so much for your nice comments! I really appreciate them !!!!
I forgot to write that bearionette is 6 cm (2,4 inch) and Geppetto 11 cm (4,35 inch) tall!
Hugs from Germany!
Wonderful work Claudia and congratulations on creating such an inventive piece of work!
I hope you will add your entry to our 'Challenge Gallery' (top bar menu) Claudia.
Wow, Claudia! you did a great job, they are wonderful and so tiny - I didn't realize they were that small looking at the picture!
OH He is so clever Claudia. I love how you have given him little hands and feet. Their faces are very sweet as well.
Thank you so much, I am so happy that you like my fellows!
Paula, I am grateful for the information about the "Challenge Gallery" - I didn´t know before! I have added my picture

I love your bears Claudia
I have finally started on mine and have done the easy bit first and tommorrow I will start on the 'friend'.This is something that I haven't tried before so I hope I can manage it even if a few heads end up in the bin These challenges are great for trying out new things and for testing your patience

Here is mine
My version of Alice and the White Rabbit. Clothes are based on the up coming Tim Burton version of the movie.
Alice is rather large at around 20" and very cuddly. Both her and the rabbit are made of mohair, fully jointed and wieghted. The white rabbit has his own silver pocket watch - no wonder he's always late!! if you open it up, it contains a teeny hourglass inside.
Alice has her own swallow necklace, like her movie counterpart and they have taken me ages! This is my first attempt at trapunto paw pads, as well as my first rabbit.
Alice is my own pattern, whereas the rabbit comes from a japanese pattern book (i had NO idea where to start to make a bunny )
They have taken ages to make, especially figuring out how to make alice's dress.
I hope you like them, they will be staying with me, cos I love them
Julia, you've done a fabulous job! What a lovely pair of friends ... and so much careful detailing! Well done!!!!
Wonderful pair. A great theme. Alice's pawpads look great, love her dress. The rabbit, love his little waist-coat. Lots of nice details on these two.
Joanne
Julia, they are lovely! You have added so many lovely details--they are great!
Cheryl

Thanks everyone it's been a long road but i learned plenty.
Claudia , love the puppet what a clever idea, challenges are great to get us thinking
Julia I love your Alice and bunny, a really cute set. haven't seen that movie yet
Pauline
This was my first time in doing bears in two colors. This is called Dad and his boys. May they always be friends for life. Dad is 14 inch and the boys are 10 inches.
Love them Eva
Thanks Pauline, the movie comes out over here in March of next year - not sure of the US release date; I watch the trailer all the time and am hopefully working on a replica Alice costume for myself
What a charming concept Eva! Super work! Thank you for taking part!
Eva, I love the two colors of fur you have used creating them, they are adorable. I also really like the concept, dad and his two boys. I don't have any boys, and I never had any brothers, but it does seem like fathers and sons grow into a friend realtionship. I like that thought.
