Joanne
Misery bear, please come to Belgium, I will give you a nice home and lovely holidays and you will never be alone again .

Peterbear
thanx for that offer Peterbear, Misery bear needs a new owner, I thought that video was quite disturbing. Poor bear, looked like a nice place to visit tho.
Misery Bear can come visit us any time he wants. He can stay as long as he wants.
He'll have 1,000 Bear friends to play with all day long. He'll have two humans to hug and snuggle with as much as he likes. The humans will make him treats.
And, when the humans aren't home he'll have the run of the house. They even let us use the computer and play on the internet as long as we don't get into trouble.
Awww poor little bear I love the way he stroked Princess Dianas face - too cute. I hope he's next video has a better outcome!
Hugs Ali
I'm starting to smell something fishy here :

Does anybody know who this is?
Maybe I'm being paranoid, but I'm starting to think this is somebody's idea of a sick joke.
Peterbear
Very observant, Peter.
Whoever posted the video on You Tube is probably trying to generate hits. (I searched YouTube rather than following the link directly, and there was another "episode" of Misery Bear that has been removed by the user.)
It's a pretty good film, I guess, but let's see whether "ratbanjos" will be joining us for a lot of discussions...
Becky
I was pretty sure it was "drive-by".
i.e. - Somebody who's got a website (or something) he's trying to promote so he registers on forums and leaves messages.
But since it is a YouTube link and it is Bear-related I didn't think much about it. If it was a link to another website, especially a pay site, I would have complained.
The chances of getting a virus or malware from YouTube are low. People don't make a lot of money by posting things on YouTube unless they are posting ads. (Except product placement and stuff like that.)
I figure the guy's just trying to generate hits.
If people think he's an idiot they'll hit his page once, maybe twice then they will get wise.
Hey! It's a cute and sad movie about a teddy bear, linked off Youtube (non-profit) on a forum about teddy bears. How much more topical can it be? And yeah, there'll be more movies - we shot a bunch for the BBC.
To those that enjoyed Misery Bear's movie, thanks for your kind words! Yay!
x
Glad to have you on board, ratbanjos!
What can you tell us about the films? Are you the director? What gave you the idea? How did you get the BBC interested in supporting short films starring a teddy bear?
Becky
Yeah, I co-direct the films. He's sitting right by me now. He's a pretty busy bear, what with his Twitter (@miserybear) and Facebook accounts (facebook.com/miserybear). The BBC seem to have taken a liking to him, so we shot a bunch of short films over the summer and this is the first. There'll be more to follow soon. Glad you like him!
ratbanjos,
We know that Bears aren't always "sweetness and light." Bears can have sad feelings and get angry too. We actually LIKE that about Misery Bear. He's a Bear with a realist view of the world.
Yes, we know Misery Bear is an Actor-Bear. As such, he's isn't the same Bear portrayed in the video.
We don't expect human actors like Arnold Schwarzenegger to walk about saying things like, "I'll be Back!" and "Hasta la vista, baby!" all day long. Just the same, we don't expect Misery Bear to be lonely and frustrated all day long, either.
We are glad to see that a Bear is being portrayed in the media in a more realistic way.
We were somewhat dismayed when Misery Bear got hit by the bus!
We know that it was all done with special effects but we were scared for a minute!
Does Misery Bear do his own stunts? Or does he have a "Stunt Bear"?
We don't mind a little bit of "peril" in our stories. That's okay.
But please take care of Misery Bear and don't let him get hurt.
We would be very sad if Misery Bears got hurt at the hands of a human just to make a video on the internet!
Overall, we give your movie a "9". :)
Good creativity. We like the realistic attitude of the Bear. We enjoyed the "Bear's eye view" photography.
We're looking forward to seeing more Misery Bear movies.
I thought it was clever and it gave me a giggle!
Me too Gemma! BTW how's my favorite kitty doing?
She's doing great, she's turning into a right little madam and I think she may go for the top cat position when she gets older! This is not a cat who wants you to feel sorry for her!! Now, my two overweight ones would like sympathy because they're on diets!
Too funny Gemma!!!
