bear_grin   The bear in my head that is wanting out is a baby bear...she is wearing a sweater, cap and booties hand knit by my friend.  She not only has a round tummy, she has a chubby little bum.  Now, my question is, have any of you ever put a "chubby little bum" on a bear?  How did it work out.  I kmow the bear seam is in the back and could be a problem.  I'm new at this so, please, any advise will be appreciated!

if I want my bears to be more ample of posterior, I just make a more marked curve from the bottom of the back - I've seen some almost a right angle at the start of the curve round.  You can do the same at the front for a generously proportioned tummy.

Thanks, I'll give it a try.  She doesn't have to sit up, she is, after all, a baby!

She should still be able to sit up, just flatten off at the bottom between bum and tummy  bear_original

Also I think you could enhance the 'crease' in the bum with some needle sculpting after it's sewn together.  I look forward to seeing this one when it's done.

Great idea...I can't wait to get this one done either.  I am trying to work at getting this dumb sewing maching to work.  It's only 30 years old...you'd think it could last a lot longer than that!

All my bears have bums, it's exagerrated by a narrow chest and a nice rounded belly.  bear_happy

bear_grin  Oh good...that is the way I drew mine.  Of course it hasn't been tested yet!
