edward-fine.JPGedward-fur-ears.JPGedward-head.JPGdoes anyone have, or enjoy this story?

i had not heard of it untill i was commissioned this week to make an edward tulane doll
i am very much looking forward to make an impressive jointed doll such as this!

so sorry i have been out-of-touch, ive popped in and out over the past few years
but here i am waving to everyone i know and welcoming new members !

when i saw the request i wondered if it was a movie, but as far as i can see,
it is only a book so far?

hugs bear makers
i hope to share edwards creation with you and ask for advice as i go ...
he wont have china parts he will be child friendly ...

bear_wub   I LOVE the Edward Tulane story!  I can't believe I cried twice reading that book. Such a beautiful ending. I won't give it away.  bear_original   It is definitely a must have book for the bear artist.

I think you can make Edward with some simple white cotton, but he would have a velvet dress. The story says he lived in a beautiful house before going lost

I may be in love... bear_wub

Edward looks like a very gentle soul, and I like how you've done his paws.

wow, thanks guys, you are so kind - of course - i need to get him out of that toddler t -shirt and into his frock coat with lace ... soon, soon ...

and as for the book, i grabbed myself a soft back copy from ebay, using some of my 'bear' money, and got stuck into it, i read it in a day - i just had to read it if i was ging to create Edward myself ...

i recommend it, but its a bit sad .... gulp !
then a happy ending ....

I love him Cat.

He has got a really rabbity face.  I love rabbits anyway, and don't like teddy bears with long dangly ears that pass themselves off as "rabbits".

My "Angel" has a face like that.

Lovely

bear_wub I love your Edward Cat, he is coming along nicely.  And of course now I will have to get the book and read it.  Between all us TT people, it will become a best seller   Great Job.  Thanx for sharing.

Cat,
Will he be manufactured? IT would be a whole different agreement of sale if they are going to manufacture Edward. You would not have a copyright but it would be nice if you are given credit for your work. Also the pay scale is different.
Karen
P.S. Your design method is perfect for manufacture. Have you designed for companies?
