Yesterday I made the drive to Illinois for the Chicagoland show, and I just want to Congratulate Daphne Blau and the others for putting together such an enjoyable event. (In person, Daphne is just as charming as her sweet bears, I found out. 
)
With all of the exhibitors in one good-sized well-lit room, the show seemed manageable, yet satisfying in terms of the number, variety, and quality of the goods on display. I was happy to see some vintage Steiff animals and bears in the mix, and of course I spent quite a while pawing over the fabric from Edinburgh Imports and chatting with Lisa. I also spent a little quality time with Bettina (The Glass Dragon) and several other bear-makers.
My budget being what it was, I only came away with a fat quarter of cloud-soft plush fabric from Donna Mettling, but I'm really glad to have the list of contact information for every exhibitor. Some of them will definitely hear from me in the future when I can again indulge my collecting side. :dance:

You're absolutely right, Peter. I had my camera with me in my purse, and I never remembered to take it out. 
Daphne said she'd be posting pics on Facebook, so we'll have to refer to those.

Becky, thank you for sharing your experience at the Chicagoland show! It sounds like such a great show. I so wanted to go! The bears must have been so cute, and I know that Daphne is a sweetheart. So glad you enjoyed your visit!

Peter... I will be collecting and posting pictures on the show's website in a few days... I'll be sure to post a link to pictures here on TT too! Need to catch up on some sleep, emails, phone calls, laundry and get some groceries so we can eat first!
