A little bit of bragging here .... This was the view from our bedroom and lounge.
We have just had 10 fabulous days staying at Q1 in Surfers Paradise.
Google Q1.. it is a pretty amazing place and is the tallest residential apartments
in the world.
We had a fantastic time swimming and shopping and going to Movie World and just
having a good old time. Also had some good meals out at Restaurants - we had all
choosen two restaurants each so it was fun to have French, Italian Chinese and Japanese ..
We were staying on the 46th floor which seemed like it was up in the sky. We were 1/2 way up and the elevator went so quickly - my ears poped every time.
Aeroplanes and helicopters were flying at the same level as we were.
One night there was an electrical storm with thunder and lightening and we were right
in the midst of it all.
The temp was about 36 and was very hot so it is nice to be back with the temp been 26.
The beaches were gorgeous with white sand and lovely big breakers.
So it is back home now on Waiheke and there is no place like home!

Wow!  What a view - I'm not sure I'd do well as I don't like heights, but it is really amazing.  Glad you had a wonderful time.

Oh Carolyn, your holiday sound wonderful. I would have had to have an apartment somewhat lower than the 46the floor though....I hate heights...umm maybe that's why I get dizzy when I stand up and Iamb only 5ft 1 inch.

I have to confess i prefer wild sea coast! so many buiding almost on the beach...

the most important is that you had a great time there!!!

It simply amazes me that they can build so high on sand.  bear_shocked  What a view!  I'm not a surfer, but I'm sure you had a great time as that beach looks simply fantastic!!!!   bear_thumb
