For artists and collectors sponsored by Intercal...your mohair supplier and Johnna's Mohair Store
I signed up for an account at Creating the Hive back in October, and just recently I tried again to figure out what goes on there, what good it is, and other stuff like that.
As far as I can see, it's a good place to write blog posts that other crafters (i.e. hive members) will see. It's kind of interesting to see what the doll-makers are doing, or to read the best way to make cake lollipops (a new food craze, apparently), but I spend too much time online already. So is there a way to use this website to reach bear collectors? Or is it not about that?
Thanks,
Becky
I did join and then I removed myself. There are bear maker groups on there. I did find some people that came to follow my blog there. They found me by me commenting on their blogs. It does seem to be a place mostly about blogs. You can write a post and blog right from there and it stays there. What I found that I did not like is that you really need to be on the front page to have your stuff seen. In order to do that you need to post, and comment and posts because it all works on a points system. So it was very hard to get your posts on the front page. The same people were featured over and over again.
I found for me I was spending way to much time trying to build points. I can find better things to do with my time.
I was hoping for more how to's there. They just really weren't there.
But I know there are others' here who really like it. So I would love to hear some pros.

Thanks for sharing your experiences, Joanne. (I thought maybe I was missing something. :))

Is this a free site?????
Sheryl
Yes it is free http://creatingthehive.com/
Sounds a lot like the Craft Stylish website I joined a while back. I have free patterns I've posted on there but no one seems to find them. Oh, except one SPAM'er. Yeah!
