I have been reading a lot of the posts on dyeing but I am looking for something specific and I can't seem to figure it out or find any thing. I am trying to find fur that is already dyed or finding dye that will make fur look iridescent sapphire blue and green. Am I making any sense?  For this project I need fur that is going to be shiny and kind of change color in the light.   Any suggestions?

I don't know of any kind of fur that is refelctive enough to be called iridescent, although certain mohairs do have quite a bit of sheen to them. (Perhaps a mottled dye job on a sleek kid mohair?)

LouBear Mohair (in South Africa) used to make a mohair with metallic strands in it. You could try them: http://www.loubear.com/

I'm thinking maybe viscose.  Or a viscose mohair blend.  I saw those colors on a mohair in an Etsy shop just a day or two ago.  The were not iridescent but they had used a LouBear fabric that had gold fibers in it that gave it an interesting look.
Good Luck and let us see it when you get it dyed.

Thanks for the suggestions! I just found the perfect emerald green viscose on etsy!  It isn't iridescent, but will definitely work well for me!  Now to find sapphire blue. I will post pics when I get my project done .  Thank you so much!
