I am making a Cat and tried a few things for the Whiskers. but it either breaks, or dont look right. What I am using right now I ordered it from CRS Crafts, especially made to insert for Whiskers, but it always breaks off by pulling it through.

I use thick fishing line for antennae on my fairies. It's impossible to break (I can barely cut it) and it has a nice rigidity that often has me thinking, "This stuff would make great whiskers!"
Thanks Shelli
Hi .Like Shelli, I too use fishing gut,it looks so effective on my cats.Hugs Rita x
What about horsehair? TandyLeather sells 4-oz hanks of 24-30 inch hair for about $14 US
Eileen
Seems like that would be a long-term supply of whiskers! :D:cool:
That's for sure, Laure. And now I find out that bears don't have whiskers !! :lol:
Actually, I bought the horsehair for the mane and tail of a rocking horse I'm making.
Maybe I should scale the horses down for bears?

Maybe also a very fine beading wire would work? I used a thicker beading wire (with a black bead glued on the end) for my bumble bee bear....
On which end do you glue the bead ?...Winney
Oh what's the matter with me...I thought you were talking about whiskers ! Bumble bees don't have whiskers !!! LOL.... Winney
:lol::lol:
Those are all great ideas girls, but I would just pull the wiskers out of my cat Percy! No...just kidding! I have no idea? I dont even have a cat.
Just being silly.
hugs Louise
