0.0-foot.jpgHello Ladies,

I need some advice. I want to design a bear that has a big feet. The look I'm after is a wide toe area ( good for needlesculpting) narrowing a bit down to the heel. How would that affect the the foot area on the pattern???

Does that make sense and if it does any ideas???

Here's a photo for a better idea!!!

On your leg pattern you'll want a very loooooong toe area. Picture a slowly/gently sloping mountainside.

Your foot pad will want to be in the desired shape of the finished foot.

Does this make sense?

Thanks Daphne & Rita. I think I must have stumped a few people with this one as I have not had many responses. So yours are greatly appreciated.

I have a n idea what I will do and then it will be  case of trial and error!!!

I'll let you know how I get on !!!

I've also heard about using a gusset on the top of the foot to get that extra width.
Haven't tried it though. Sorry

DSC00620.JPGHi Claire

Is it like this?

You will have to make some changes with the pattern. First, you have to seperate the foot from the leg. Then you
put the two pieces of the foot together and draw a big foot.

Hi Brigitte,

That is definitely the look I want. I'm not sure what you mean when you say seperate the foot from the leg??

I'm a dunce

I hope, that you can use the picture, or I will try to explain to you in words.
Let me know.
