They were found in a museum collection, and they are looking for more info on how old they might be and who might have made them.
Teddy looks like a Chiltern but I'm not an expert. Very cute.
That was my first thought as well with the nose stitching and overall form. The eyes look like replacements to me, and the age...maybe 1940s?

the ted looks like a chiltern to me, too. The bunny....I've seen one similar, but will have to check......perhaps from Dean's???
Apparently the bear is a 1938 Merrythought - confirmed by the merrythought archivist (I've never seen one with whiskers before!). Deans might be a possibility for Bunny. There's also a possibility he might be Northern European as there is a connection with a shop which was trading toys from Denmark. Not up on my Danish toymakers though!
What a fab pair they are Isn't amazing how they have developed a total uniqueness just by being loved over the years from their manufactured origins.
