I'm creating a small white bear, I'll use white ultrasuede behind her eyes, but as they're against a white fur, how can I get them to show up?

Shading, shading, shading............

I would maybe shade grey or brown between the suede and the mohair. You'll get a great effect that way.

Pm me if I'm not clear

I have used a black permanent marker and after you cut the shape, use the marker to color the EDGES only. It looks great!

Yeah What Sunnie said. I have done that on the white ultrasuede and it worked great to make the eyes stand out and offered that sad eyed look.

Ditto here also on what Sonya said - just use a permanent marker - the very thin kind.  I do it before I set the eyes, that way I don't accidentally get permanent marker where I don't want it !  Good luck.

I use white ultrasuede for the whites of eyes, do any of you use anything different, or do I need more practice to get mine to look as good?

Hi Clare,
I use wool felt - I think it is a little more forgiving.

The only caveat I would add is don't shade with a cream color-it will look yellow and then we will all think your wee one has jaundice.
