I'm here, I'm here bear_laugh:D Thanks for missing me!!

Wouldn't you know, my computer got invaded by who-knows-what, and my Windows was "corrupted". I had to pay $250 to get it fixed without losing my files. bear_angry Sound familiar Nance? I had to reinstall everything, which took forever. Now that I'm fairly sure it won't all blow up on me, I'm getting ready to install the software for my new camera . . . at long last.

Actually, the computer techie told me that no security system is airtight. He's right. My hubs's computer is protected at 2 levels, by U of Toronto's security and by his own Norton system, but last year somebody managed to download a program onto all U of T computers.

In the meantime, I've been tutoring and dying mohair. My first attempt at grey turned out dark blue (too much black dye, I think) but the second was perfect.

Why didn't anyone mention that wet mohair smells like wet goat????? Faintly, maybe, but goat all the same.

Sorry you've been feeling yucky, Winney!!

Tomorrow I go to my first real bear show. Matthea will be there too, huzza! :DI start to hyperventilate just thinking about it . . .

Oh Winney... hope you're feeling better soon!

Ack!  Eileen I'm so sorry!  Just a reminder for all of us to do "back ups" on our computers... to at LEAST save the photos and documents we have stored on the hard drives!

Speaking of which... we had computer genius friends who told us this great organization solution on the computer......

Put ALL of your documents, photos, etc in the My Documents folder!  Do NOT put any programs into the My Documents folder!!  We also have many subfolders within the My Documetns folder.  One for me, hubby, daughter, trans am, whippet stuff, family stuff, my pictures... you get the idea ;)

And then each of us makes up folders to go within our own folder to help organize!  Now when you "back up" your computer... you only need to back up the My Documents folder!

LOL Louise!

I used to be the most UN-organized person in the world!  Then I just tackled one little part of my life one step at a time.... If ya try to do it all at once it won't "stick" bear_rolleyes

I had one lady at the grocery store look at my grocery list and said I was too orgainzed LOL!  Heck, I just have it divided up by item type... (produce, deli, dairy, canned/boxed,....)  Makes it so much easier to both make the list and get the shopping done quickly.

Edited to add.....
I still have parts of my life/home I am trying to get organized bear_tongue  I just keep trying new things... and eventually I find a system I can keep up with.  Just did a major re-organization on my bear room (it was a MESS!)  Hopefully THIS time it will stay organized bear_grin  Just a few more "tweaks" here and there and I'll be happy with it bear_original

OL you gals....I just cleaned my sewing room because it was such a mess...
One tip that really helped me out a lot is...keep a " Put Away " box  in your room
.
Now ,stuff  I have dragged out or used recently dosn't need to lay around anymore( where you can't find it) or its in your way ! ..., toss it into the put away box!
When it gets full, you then have to put away the items or at least the bigger ones.

Another nIce thing about the box is if you need to use  something again  ...you may remember it is in that box !
I keep 2 put aways boxs ...one is for smaller items like buttons, velcro, etc...Winney

That is a great idea!!!   I'm having two of those too!!  That will save the ever growing mountain on my desk, which in the end leaves me about an inch square to work on - Oh I'm soooo untidy!!

Many thanks for sharing!!

Actually she is right- there is a law of physics, (or is it thermal dynamics?) that says everythig moves from an ordered existance to a disordered existance.  I think Newton came up with this- maybe he knew teddy bear makers? bear_tongue

I don't know.....I play with gollies.....what do I know.....:)
