The Sam beer is Sam Adams, and it's not bad. I like the lighter ones, but my husband, a beer afficionado, drinks the darker ones. Molson Light is my beer of choice. We also drink Yuengling because it's made here, and microbrews from the local pubs. I prefer Dos Equis to Corona, but that's because I'm from California.
On the wine scene, I think the Greg Norman is overpriced crud. Plus, it's named after a golfer. How weird is that? I love going to the wineries in upstate New York (where I went to college) and tasting wine. I brought home six cases the last time I went. It's good, it's not terribly expensive, and I know I like everything in my house 'cause I tasted it first. (Fortunately, I drink wine despite the alcohol, not because of it -- or I'd have a serious problem!
