It is talking over the internet as if you were using a phone. Ebay is advertising it now as well. it is apparently alot cheaper than using a phone.

Pumpkin & Pickle BearsYes, I've spoken to a few friends in Oz using Skype. There was a slight delay at times, but other than that it was as if we were talking on the phone.
Used another type of internet phone several years ago. Cheaper... but sound quality wasn't quite as good and you have to stay AT the computer 
I"m used to walking around whle I'm talking :crackup:
